Site 15 (Union Grove Racine County)

I heard the Union Grove (Racine County) system used for the first time today. The talk group id was number 1.

I also saw TGID 24 yesterday, but it must have been a dead key test. There was no voice with it.

I heard more TGIDs today, and they are TGID 21010, 14010, and 57910. The system is starting to be used now.

Those are county scan talkgroups. I am hearing most of them listed in the DB off the Hillsdale tower today also.

Sites #15, 16, and 17

Using my BCD996T and PSR-600, I found that all the talk groups are being transmitted at the same time on the Milwaukee, Racine, and Waukesha sites. This is the first time I heard the Milwaukee site used today.

I have to add on more talk group, 18010.

I heard rescue dispatched to an address with a glare ice driveway. So I know it had to be transmitted from somewhere up north.

All these sites are starting to come together. So it is looking good. All the sites sound great!

I'm catching TG 21010 off the Deerfield tower tonight. I've heard some traffic regarding Highway 52. Researching that I noticed it runs through Forest, Langlade and part of Marathon Counties. I'm guessing that I'm hearing Forest CO due to there already being a Forest CO Travel TG that starts with 21xx.

Edit -- I'm hearing a call dispatched to highway 101 which is located up in Florence CO on this same TG.

Edit #2 - Hearing a fire/ems call in Waubenu,WI which is apparently in Forest Co

I'm hearing all the mentioned TGs off the Lampson tower as well. My guess is they've been enabled statewide for some testing.

The Wittenberg site in western Shawano County is alive with the Dodge County scan (14010), Eau Claire County scan (18010), and Washington County scan (57910) talkgroups as of January 31, 2012.

I have never seen the Delafield site this active but also I haven't really monitored it a lot. Is anyone aware when State Patrol or DNR is joining the system?

Greetings...

Keep in mind the radio traffic on the talkgroups above 10000 are just radio patches of conventional radio traffic to get activity on the system. Now the radio traffic on the STAC talkgroups or those 88xx's talkgroups are actual radios operating on the system.

In listening to the traffic of the Delafield tower, the non-patched talkgroups sound fine to me. Hearing the patched talkgroups (21010 / 14010 / 18010 / etc) they do sound rather quiet to me.

Here are the listing of agencies/entities (Besides the state) that I know of that are planning to join WISCOM for their daily communications.

City of Fond Du Lac Police
Iowa County
Kewaunee County
Sawyer County
Taylor County (possibly??)

Anyone know of others?

Tim

There I somthing I have found out that I do not have a definite answer to why. Similar with Washington County's P25 system, all Radio IDs are reading as 0 on WISCOM. Is this because of how new the system is, or does P25 not show Radio ID tags?

Scanning p25 Ida

This has more to do with the software of the scanner you are using as far as displaying the radio IDs for scanning P25 Systems. What scanner are you using? Some scanners will show this info.
