New site in Wheatland announced today - those in the area please confirm site freq's and all that jazz and submit to the database:

The new WyoLink Portable Coverage Enhancement site in Wheatland (WhSo) is in wide area trunking and available for use.

This site will provide enhanced portable radio coverage in the City of Wheatland. It will also provide enhanced mobile radio coverage in the central portion of Platte County.

This brings the number of active WyoLink Sites to 69.

WyoLink Sites

I'm planning a trip to NW Wyoming in July. I'm currently working on programming my 996 with FreeScan. I've noticed a difference in the sites listed on RR and the database for FCC licenses. Specifically, some WyoLink sites on RR lack one or two frequencies compared to the FCC data.

Are these additional frequencies omitted from RR's info for a reason?

Additionally, I am finding that the State of Wyoming has two licensed sites at many of the locations. One license has frequencies similar to those listed in RR. The other license has completely different frequencies.

To confirm, is RR's WyoLink info correct. What is the purpose of all of the additional licenses? Is it a separate system for the state? If so, it's strange that RR doesn't have it listed, too.

Don't get too worried. I'd say the rr info is 99% correct and have been (at one time) verified by actual monitoring.

Time to time freq's are added for capacity reasons and may get missed by those who monitor the system.

In short, if you use the cc method of scanning you'll be all set. Nw wy (aka Yellowstone) has pretty much nil coverage.

Almost forgot, it's the policy of rr that "verified" information is processed into the db. We do not take raw FCC information from the license as sometimes what is granted by the FCC isn't used, etc

Also we have the old state analog systems that we still use. Our state radios have both
Wyolink and the analog channels programmed into them.
You might be surprised how much we use the old systems, especially the simplex freqs.

For the most part yes, Campbell County is using Wyolink.
Fire and EMS paging is still on analog
Fire still utilizes analog tactical channels
Campbell County Road and Bridge still utilizes their analog channel as well

Does anyone save their WyoLink Pro96Com logs? If so, please PM me. Thanks!

Just a quick question. I'm planning on staying a night in Casper on an upcoming work trip. Which County Law Dispatch frequency do Casper PD use?

Thanks gents,

TG 13168 is 01LAW-DISP-1 'LAW-1' primary, used to dispatch Casper PD, Evansville PD, Mills PD and Natrona County SO
TG 13169 is 01LAW-DISP-2 'LAW-2' secondary, used to run wants/warrants/registrations
TG 13170 is 01LAW-DISP-3 'LAW-3' alternate secondary, used by Evansville PD, Mills PD and Natrona County SO when LAW-2 gets very busy, while Casper PD uses LAW-2

Sheridan RMA TGRP

Does anybody know if Rocky Mountain Ambulance in Sheridan is on WyoLink now? I am going up there for a A-EMT course.

Hello,

Try 13315, This is what I have to listen to RMA, However the are still paged out across the conventional channel, 155.2950, as well.

Laramie city

On 10-22-14 I was in the city of Laramie and found the control channels 151.225, 151.230 and 150.890 with my PSR-500. Only the 150.890 is in the RRDB. Didn't have pro96com with me to log them. Put all three in a TSYS and they scanned great. 151.225 and 151.230 definitely carry both Albany Co and Laramie city traffic. A listener in the Laramie area could confirm these freqs and update the database.

Cryptolog, Unfortunately I suspect that what you're hearing is both sides of 151.2275 which is an alternate CC at Laramie Cemetery(1-42). Your frequencies are only 2.5 kHz on each side of that alternate and the PSR 500 is not that selective.
