I'm curious about the camera. Does it have IR lights for night time? And how is the reflection back from them with the glass?

I'm still trying to figure out how he sees the road. Of course if I was over 5' tall it would help....
You have come a long way my friend a LONG beautiful way. That looks very nice. I still want your 900MHz freqs and are you APRSing yet?
Very nice job you've done with the car!

Really nice pictures and setup, but what kind of storm were you chasing? Rain or thunder?
Great looking install!
It was a good test for spotting. We got some small hail down here in Cowley County, KS. Here is my install http://forums.radioreference.com/pi...up/229798-2004-ford-expedition-install-2.html
That Impala looks tough.....did you install any warning lights?
If so, any pics?
It's a tough car, I really like the Impala police package. Just about everything on the car is heavy duty which gives you piece of mind during intense driving conditions.
It just has a rear taillight flasher. In the picture you can see the reverse light on, it flashes brakes/reverse.
Ok, think about getting some rear deck strobes..maybe a traffic arrow director typa thing

what is in pic. #3??
does it block your view on the dash?????
(im not gonna' go on if it's legal or not.)
Not a bad idea, I just wanted something simple. I rarely use the lights but occasionally there is a need while chasing. Just be careful with traffic advisor's, these days people will look for an excuse to sue. It sucks!
Well I would think that you'd get sued faster if you had no lights st all....?
With this mounted on your rear deck, you'd be able to direct traffic around you if you needed to pull over on the side of the road, if not you could still use it was warning lights by hitting a button on your dashboard......either way it's visibility n it make it allot safer.....
I think it would really set the ex cruiser off.......you already have the plastic rear seat n the prisoner transport cage.......
