Newest addition to the truck is a 32" LED light bar installed behind the grille.

Looks really good. The install turned out looking great, both the antenna install and the interior radio mount.

I've got a 2011 F150 that I love, but I'm also looking at a new trailer that will likely push me into 3/4 ton & Diesel territory. I'm probably going to be purchasing a new Silverado HD sometime next year. Of course whenever I start looking at a new vehicle, my mind turns to how to install my radios. I've been specifically looking at these trucks and the different seat options and how that would impact the radio installs. I've got three of the new Silverado's in the family and they all have the full center console. Not really a big fan of that set up, but we have managed to install VHF radios in all of them.
Based off your install, I'm really leaning towards the bench seat and using a similar mount as yours. I've got a VHF Motorola CDM-1550 for amateur radio and work stuff as well as a Kenwood NX-900 for my work 800MHz stuff. I like how yours turned out.

LED light bar looks great. I considered purchasing one of those for my Polaris UTV a while back, but the price was a bit too steep. I went with two single LED lamps instead. The LED lights are really a huge improvement over the old incandescent lights.

Overall, great looking truck!

Check out HHCH options (Motorola & Simoco).

That's what I run to avoid consoles or radios in odd places. Especially paired with a Panavise InDash mount.

Luckily for me I've got the "work truck" dash in my 2013 so I can have 3-4 Panavise mounts. Most mount to the left or right of the OEM AM/FM.

Great looking install. Very clean. I wish I had the space to install a console, because I'm stuck mounting radios to the factory center console which really limits my space.

Well that Havis console is just a great idea. Thanks, you just cost me $115. Didn't have to have it until I saw yours, now I HAVE TO HAVE IT. Haha.

Be sure to check out the website where I bought that one or check out eBay like I mentioned, they had them for a buy it now price of $50 after I had already purchased the console. If you have radios and/or lights this console is perfect!

Yeah I've been on eBay and whatnot, you can find items similar but by the time you factor in the cost of used faceplates (IF you can find what you need) and shipping, buying new from SWPS is the better choice.

I could have done without it, but like I said, now that I've seen yours I'm obsessed. Thanks for the tip.

Have been doing some research on push bumpers and decided to go with the Setina PB400. I had it installed at a local dealership with about 2 hours of labor. These are very solid, the entire front grille, bumper and headlight assembly had to be removed to mount the mounting brackets to the frame where the tow hooks are installed. I am very pleased with the quality for the price.

My next project is switching out the BCT15X scanner for a BCD996P2 Digital scanner since a lot of agencies are switching to digital in the state.

Did you have to sacrifice the tow hooks? I've looked at a couple of options for front end replacements and gaurds...can't find much I like and what I do requires the tow hoods be removed.

Unfortunately the tow hooks are removed. I have already pushed a broken down vehicle with the bumper and am under the impression you can tow with the bumper on certain tow points. I would highly recommend it.

I see. The last guard I had was a Westin (at least comes from the same manufacturer) and I really liked it compared to (dare I say) Ranch Hand and Frontiers full replacements I've had in the past.

Of course when it comes to aluminum construction, I love some of the products from Dakota Hills Mfg. For the price, hard to beat the Setina, even after adding the light guards.

Hi, I just ordered 8" Angled Series Console For Light Trucks & SUV'sPart # C-AS-840-11 wanted to ask you how are the radios mounting plate attached to the Console? The plates come with screws but I don't see any holes do you make their own Threads, I see the track on the side of the mount with nuts on them but I believe that is use for the mic brackets?

Thanks

Hello, when you set the plates on the console, the holes on the face plates line up in that track and that is where they screw on. You don't make your own threaded holes, the tracks along the side secure the screws allowing you to have different set ups with the face plates and radios of different sizes. On the very side of the console near the top is where the mic mount gets supported (the one where you loosen the hex screw and your able to slide the nuts along the track.) any other questions let me know and I can send some pictures that might help with what I explained. Enjoy your new console!!

Hi, Thanks here are some photos of my tracks so how does the screws hold the plates on does the track narrow so the bottom of the tack can lock in to the Screw? Thanks for pointing out the mic holders that will help me out a lot

The track is a bit smaller then the screws so when screwed into the track the screws hold tightly. It allows for you to use the entire track to secure the screws instead of having only certain pre drilled holes, allowing you to change the faceplates around for different radio configurations.
