GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -After a long process of negotiations, the radio system used by first responders in Alachua County now belongs to Alachua County.

The radio system was built by GRU, but lost money over the years, adding to the utility’s financial problems.

First negotiating with city leaders, then the new GRU authority board, county officials closed the purchase last Thursday.

Management for a final sale price of $8 million.

Hopefully not necroposting here but I can open up another thread if necessary.

What RSSI levels do y’all get? I’m less than a mile away from one of the Simulcast transmitter sites with my SDS-100 with a REM-820S and I get around -68 to -78 in normal filter mode for some transmissions but have gotten -58 on others.

My SDS 200 is pulling full signal, getting around RSSI -80 on average, audio is perfect though with no distortion or garble. I am by Buchholz High.
