I've successfully programmed the radio and connected to the network via a hotspot, which is sufficient since we lack DMR repeaters in our area. However, it's quite bothersome that the first 20 or so channels programmed as digital channels appear as actual channels that can be changed using the selector on top of the radio. I only use channel one for my hotspot and select the desired talk group from the menu.

How can I make these digital channels that contain my talk group information disappear from the screen while still allowing me to access them through the menu? It's quite distracting to have them listed as channels on the screen. Ideally, I'd like only the analog frequencies I've programmed into the radio to be selectable channels, as they are not listed as contacts in the menu. Does anyone have any ideas on how to achieve this? Does anyone have a code plug (data file) that does this already that I could use as a template to create mine?

I would say set up all you DMR TG's in a zone that is programmed for your hotspot. Then when you want analog switch to that zone.

Yeah I was just talking to a buddy of mine.... KC5DJR and he was basically telling me the same thing except DO NOT put your DMR TG's in a zone, they don't need to be. . He said put your hotspot channel in zone 1 and take all of the digital contact channels out of the zone. He said make zone 1 your hotspot zone. He said if I want to add another hotspot to zone 1 you'll have room for it. He said start zone 2 off with any digital repeaters not in your home that you want to use and then somewhere in another zone down the list put my analog channels in and move forward from there. He said no reason to have digital contact channels listed in a zone. I only need to have the repeater or hotspot (home repeater) listed, all digital contacts can be chosen through the menu or hot key should I choose to program one as digital contacts... Makes sense to me.... now off to change the programming...

Question I just got a new DM-32 and I programed a few new frequencies that are DMR protocol.
I get reception with good bars but no audio at all.
I do have 1 out of 4 working okay but lost on the other 3.
Any suggestions?
I'm using this radio as a receiver only as I'm not a licensed Ham.

That sounds like wrong color code, or wrong talk group.

Thanks for the tips.
I did find one of the entries wasn't set for RX Group.
I'll check into the other settings.
