Site 20 is very strong here in Fremont and my guess is that this is Monument Peak, above Milpitas. I don't think Loma would be as strong here. I"m in the shadow of both Diablo and Sunol, so not from there.

Site 18 probably IS NOT Sonoma Mountain as I'm sitting in it's line of sight and NOTHING on the frequency of 770.44375...Will continue to check throughout the week...

With Big Rock blocked from a decent view, what might be Diablo and WHAT IS Vaca are coming in at the same strength. I am going to have to say without traveling all the way up Mt. Diablo that 770.44375 must be Diablo...Currently sitting at Skaggs Island on 37 on 5/29/21 @ 1155.

EDIT ADD: At 1200 I hooked up just a dummy load and "pointed" it at the specific mountains...Diablo came in clearer than Vaca.

-Frank C.

UPDATE on 5/29/21 at 1235: Sitting BELOW any possible line of sight for Vaca/Big Rock. Site 18 is still coming in strong with a dummy load, so I would say with minimal doubt that it is indeed Diablo.

FWIW on Site 18 (Diablo) I saw RID's of 11323, 11326, 11332, 11337, 11344.

This is what my DSD+ P25DATA file shows and I will be submitting a confirmation to the DB shortly.

Site: 1.18 NAC=9D8

Channel 1-1350: 770.44375 CC
Channel 1-1770: 773.06875 SCC
Channel 1-1850: 773.56875 SCC
Channel 1-1928: 774.05625 SCC

Listening to site 20 in the South Bay just now (1933 hours) and on TG 4502 encrypted, heard radio IDs 94404 and 94418 for about 30 seconds.

On the 50001 from the screen shot you attached it appeared like that was possibly a private call between RID 763310 and RID 50001, did it log in your files as a group call? I have seen reference to both of those RIDs on other posts.

It was @Outerdog who posted the screenshot.

I've captured 763310 affiliating with group 50001, and quite a few Group Calls...

Code:
"2021:05:26:17:17:55","","APCO-25","Response",""," (763310)","","770.443750","","ACCEPT AFFILIATION GROUP: 50001 (LOCAL) ANNOUNCEMENT GROUP:0"
"2021:05:26:17:18:38","","APCO-25","Group Call","763310","Catch All (50001)","3-1966 TS1","770.443750","","PHASE 2 CHANNEL GRANT PRI4 CIRCUIT"

The same subscriber affiliated the following day (May 27th). This was on the Diablo(??) Site 18, which I have not been monitoring full-time.

@N6ML: Is it correct that the group calls are being assigned to the CC? Is that possible (i.e., even on phase-2 TDMA, is a second timeslot available on the CC? I would have expected actual Group Calls to be assigned to (and reveal) the non-CC (voice/data) channels. @scannerboy02: Are your channel grants to non-CC channels? Or is it just logins, etc. that are being seen.

I believe the data that @N6ML is showing is what's coming from the control channel, not what's being assigned to the control channel. The control channel runs in FMDA mode so it wouldn't have a second timeslot open for traffic to be assigned.

Everything I have collected so far came from what has been posted here as well as some offline sources who don't want to post publicly. The exact nature of how the talk group was discovered is unknown unless the person who posted it made a reference to it in the post.

It's a little tricky piecing these logs together. It appears that all of the TGID 50001 traffic on that day used channel 774.293750 (I guess that's 3-1966 ??). TGID 301 used the same traffic channel. I haven't found any other traffic channels in my limited logs of Site 18.

Site 20: Did some running around today with two radios and it is looking like Loma Prieta, after all. I was able to rule out Monument, Sunol and Coyote Hills. I'm just surprised how strong the signal is in the house, lower floor with a telescopic antenna. They must be putting out some power! From the same location, I cannot decode SVRCS. I know their sites are relatively low level, but Loma is such a distance from my monitoring post here in Fremont.

At 20:08 this evening heard chatter on TG 4501 in the clear. I previously reported encrypted traffic on 4502 from site 20, Loma, from the shack in Fremont. Tonight there was a unit asking if anyone was on the channel. Another unit said you are on the wrong channel, you should be on "FEL TAC DIR which is not on the repeater, but direct and should be the next channel over". Now about once an hour I do hear EBRCS talk groups coming in on CRIS site 20. My best guess is that this is leakage from EBRCS and not CRIS traffic. But I cannot find TG 4501 or 4502 in their system nor any other Bay Area trunked system, so this may be a real user. Does anyone have any knowledge of this TG on any other system? FEL could stand for "felony" or "Felton" or something else.

FEL would have to be FELTON as that's the 3 unit designator for Felton...Strange that they're using DIR and whatnot. Interesting but strange...

I'm in San Leandro not too far from the marina and I can usually pick up Loma sites pretty well. It seems to be a direct LOS whereas Sunol can get partially blocked by Hayward Hills. (or so it seems) I'd think most of Fremont would receive Loma activity as well.
