I just noticed MRU the other day as well.
I can't walk or drive for the next 6-8 weeks, having almost needed EMS myself (actually hospital staff told me I should have) so have been doing a bit more listening than normal :)

I passed by Station 1 they other day and saw the "Special Events" truck running as MRU 1. I don't know if that's changed or not

CFD will be replacing all 3 Hazmat Trucks.. it sounds like these trucks will be bigger and will be able to hold a lot more equipment. It will be interesting to see!! Opportunity Preview

I haven't heard of any changes yet.. I'm waiting for the new Smeal Engines to arrive in the city (as i'm sure many of us are)

I do believe all 3 of the new Boat Tow's and Boats have entered Service, I'm not to sue about the new Bush Buggy though

I do have a question about the 2 - 2006 E-One RLP Aerial Platforms (Aerial 12 & 19) I have noticed that they have been out of service for the last month.... Are they being overhauled or retrofitted perhaps?

I posted that and both Aerial's returned in service the very next day!!

I am very happy to see that CFD has got something specifically for flooding now, instead of just using a couple of the Rescue's small de-watering pumps!

I was really hoping that CFD would get something along the lines of the FDNY SOC Dewatering Unit >> SOC Dewatering unit I'm sure a dedicated roll-off pod will work just fine ;)

This is Aerial 11 setting up on Elbow drive for the working fire yesterday (Charle exposure) . Engine 47 plugged a hydrant from further up Elbow and brought it down to supply them (I don't believe the Aerial ever got water as the bulk of the fire was knocked down before they setup)

Engine 11 was first due and set-up in the back alley, plugged a hydrant and from where I was standing it looks like they just stretched there 3 - 44mm hand lines and worked them around the Alpha, Bravo and Delta exposures. Engine 11 declared this a defensive fire on arrival and had the bulk of the fire knocked down in about 20 minutes (lots of pockets of fire / hot spots remained)

Responding Apparatus : Engines 11,5,16(Safety/RIT),47,1(special called, I believe they were cancelled later) Aerial 11, Rescue 2, HM4, HR23, FRP1, CC, WC, EC, BC, Investigator

Did a bit of driving around.. There are 2 new Bush Buggy's in service at Stations 8 & 18, I couldn't get any pictures or fleet numbers but they both look very similar to the other 3 Bush Buggy's in service already.

All 3 new Aquatics units are in service as well, but again no I have no pictures or fleet numbers and the West District chief is no longer at Station 8. I am not sure where h has been relocated to (Maybe Station 20?)

I meant to say the Central Chief instead of the West Chief... I believe the Central Chief has moved back to Station 16

This 3rd Alarm fire at the Stadium Shopping Center started up around 7:30 am, I arrived around 2:30pm to take some pictures. I wasn't listening to fire dispatch so I don't know what apparatus came in on they original alarms.. but these were the trucks I found on scene when I got there:

(In no order at all).. Engines:: 10,17,15,6,2,47,7,36 (Engines 7&36 were relay pumping) Aerials:: 17,6,12
Rescue 2, Hazmat 17, Air-Light 7, Highrise 23, FRP2 (I think), EC,CC,WC, Battalion, 1 deputy Chief

Here are some of my pictures.. I will post more later, but not all of them. Please PM me if you would like more.

I drove by on my way home as two chiefs were heading out. One of the chiefs vans was belching out blue smoke... how long are those Mercedes diesels good for again? :D

I don't think anybody has moved back into 16 from the dispersal earlier this year. AFAIK renos are still underway.

Also #7 moved, if you are unaware. The existing house at 27th & 4th NW is being demolished with a new one rebuilt in the same spot (more or less). The temporary building that has been various halls over the course of its life was erected at the corner of Edmonton Tr & 36th while old #7 is taken down and replaced.

I did notice Station 7 was empty and had moved to the new location, but I was surprised that there was no fence or sign up around they existing Station 7 saying that it was "closed" That was a few days ago.. I imagine demolition is under way.

This is Engine 7 relay pumping at the scene & Aerial 12 hitting the fire..
