Sorry, to clarify, I am monitoring the New TVRCS system. Also, I heard traffic on the Walker TAC 3 as I was leaving for work this morning. Seems as if Walker gets more and more active on the system everyday.

Does anyone have any idea who 8502 is? The 8xxx talkgroups are mostly Roane Co. but the people I keep hear talking on tg 8502 seem like techs or something. They are fairly active on Mt Roosevelt right now but are talking about showing someone how to use the radios and going tomorrow to test the radios on highway 321 to see how well they work.

Any Ideas?

EDIT: As soon as I posted this I heard them over the Unknown Roane Co. site too.

I haven't monitored Chattanooga in a few years due to the signal being weak in my area. Will the Uniden BC785D still receive the new regional system? Do I need the BCi25D digital card?

I'm not familiar with that scanner but just looking at it briefly online, it will need the i25D and covers the 700 and 800 MHz range. I've heard that some scanners won't trunk the 700 MHz band but you can try it. The Chattanooga and NW GA sites are 800.

Isn't the BCi25D card only capable of 3600 baud? P25 systems are 9600 baud.

Anderson County is on the TVRTS map! The sites are not working yet tho When the information gets submitted to the RRDB, does that mean the FCC just granted the freqs, and its in the making? Or is the tower up and supposed to be running. Thx

Are sites 2-016 and 2-017 correct, or is there a chance they were flip-flopped accidentally in the latest update? The reason I ask is that I have heard a lot of Roane county traffic on 769.35625, but none on 770.55625.

Yeah I think they are backwards, however, when Windrock goes online, it should carry a fair bit of traffic from north Roane Co.

But I do have the 769.35625 in my scanner as Roane Co #2.

Does anyone know where "Roane County Site 2" might be? I saw a post here that it covers Rhea County well but I don't hear any Rhea County traffic on it and my 996xt will receive it 3 out of 5 at I-75 in Clinton.

Also. I just heard 7002 and it seems like it may be Rhea Co. Fire Dispatch. On the wiki, it's just listed as Rhea Co. Anyone know anything else about this?

I don't think it's in Harriman, between Harriman and Clinton would be Windrock Mtn. Also, Windrock and Mt Roosevelt would cover Harriman well (you can see Roosevelt from parts of Harriman).

There isn't a license for that site either so the coordinates can't be verified.

I was wondering about that one too.
And 7009 sounds like "city pd dispatch." Is that for Dayton and Spring City?
I've heard some SO units talk about a tac-2, but never picked it up on the Chattanooga site.

I haven't seen that license for Windrock or Cross yet. I did hear two fire calls on 7002. On one call, Dayton FD was dispatched so I do think its a dispatch channel but im not sure if its just Dayton or the whole county.

I'm new to the digital age. I'm getting all of Roane county on either 2-016 or 2-017. I'm also getting the conv. 155.625 EMS on the fire north channel (BUFFALO MOUNTAIN). I'm in the upper edge of Monroe county next to Loudon county. I don't pick up anything else on a TVRT wildcat type programing. My question is have I got TVRT programmed right or isn't nobody close enought to the towers to hit them in the other countys besides Roane

If you can receive it, put 2-030 into your scanner. It's Mt Roosevelt in Rockwood and carries all Roane Co. traffic. It also has quite a bit of Rhea County traffic (7xxx).

I programmed it into my 996xt. Nothing on it from middle Roane Co. (although my house is a dead spot for RF)

This seems to be what was "Roane Site 2" although sites 2-10 and 2-11 seems to have flip floped from what I orginally had them as. Which ever it is I've never picked it up even though it should be between me (here in the edge of Loudon/Monroe countys) and the Windrock tower.
