in regards to Torrington PD they are still using their VHF system. It simulcasting on the statewide system just FYI.
Interesting. Wonder if they'll do a full cutover at some point.in regards to Torrington PD they are still using their VHF system. It simulcasting on the statewide system just FYI.
I have to say I'm very curious about several of the new Torrington PD portables in the 5069-5075 range. Seems they are affiliated on a daily basis, today I'm noticing 5074 in particular affiliating over and over again. Still no audio on any of these....
If anything, a radio on the vhf would show the console ID over trunkingA radio that is using VHF would not be seen registering and affiliating on the 7/800 trunk system. There are some radios that are showing up as External indicating they are not system radios. However, I see 93 radios affiliated to the TPD Dispatch TG with only a few of those being out of town radios.
Thank you sirAmenia NY
I did not know that Amenia or any Dutchess agencies that respond to Litchfeild would have access to this system. Pretty neat.Amenia NY
Me either, I thought this was pretty cool as well. Although I do recall hearing LCD dispatching "Northern Dutchess Medics" from time to timeI did not know that Amenia or any Dutchess agencies that respond to Litchfeild would have access to this system. Pretty neat.
That was a patch from NOAA WX using one of the ERV TGs.this is kind of interesting. Has anybody else heard this on the statewide system talk group 5651 with a space in between and then 3011 was coming up as one of the weather channels with the radio ID 1981???
Im impatiently waiting for dutchess to finish rolling out their own P25 network, which will be great for interop with the regional rope teams. Hopefully the overseeing agencies play nice together, and all of the end users can benefit.I did not know that Amenia or any Dutchess agencies that respond to Litchfeild would have access to this system. I do not believe NDP has CLMRN radios but are using the LCD Hi Band and as such are patched.
The Amenia radios are for their rope rescue team and are on the CLMRN system. They were actually going to a call in Mass so NY units responding with CT units for a call in MA. Once Massachusetts CoMIRS completes their overhaul, I would not be surprised to see Berkshire County FDs expand onto it and share the access to CT and those NY units with the capabilities to do so.
I first logged them several months ago during a similar call and some radio testing in August
I think that NDP actuly responds as the primary ALS to a Northwestern Litchfield Town, if I recall, North Canaan. Although I may be wrong. Also, recently, Empress EMS (NY) acquired NDP. I heard they are keeping everything the same after the acquisition that happened in October. They are still referred to as NDP here in Dutchess.Im impatiently waiting for dutchess to finish rolling out their own P25 network, which will be great for interop with the regional rope teams.
