I see a site listing for wood county ,
Interesting, I'm wondering if wood county S.O and or mineola might join this system ?
Sites 3-50, 3-51 (unconfirmed not in db) and 3-52 are two channel sites that are pobably only for Dallas Water Utilities facilities. I doubt that there would be other users.

None of that was supposed to be trunked. If you check the emission codes they can be either but it was my understanding they would be two channel per site radio systems for Dallas Water Utilities for the pumphouse and filtration crews. I've been scanning the Wood County site and nothing, nodda. It does have some conventional traffic on it, generally guys talking about fishing with occasional work related traffic. I guess its possible to have a two channel, 3 site TRS but I don't think it would be very effective and it sure wouldn't be transferring public safety traffic.

Last week while cruising down the SRT to the big airport I heard Richardson talking to the North central dispatcher, I wonder if Richardson now has direct access since it borders Dallas on 2 and a half sides and all those sides are rough areas?

After much testing, I'm happy to announce that Dallas Layer 1 is now available on the Broadcastify Calls platform. Thanks to everyone for the information they've provided. Happy to hear any suggestions/feedback!
Great job ! I enjoy being able to listen to Lancaster PD again. If I ever move back there I will definitely start a live feed for them !

Awesome work!

fyi: I think that Layer 2 is supposed to be the primary Dallas Public Safety layer...

Edit: If your system can handle it, I'd add Layer 2 as well and enable Trunk Recorder's internal duplicate call handling and send them both up and we'll filter any dups up here as well...

Layer 2 is next up!

Not sure if it’s my physical location, but Layer 2 reception with my current setup leaves a lot to be desired. Working on converting an old satellite dish on my roof into a base for a proper antenna.

Would love recommendations to build this out right. Here’s what I’m working with:
-SDR-Trunk (Windows-based host, plenty of horsepower)
- 2x Nooelec v5 SDRs (using the stock antennas for now)

I haven’t pulled the trigger on any other hardware, so if someone has suggestions on a setup, I’d be very appreciative.

You beat me to it. I had many of the dallas feeds and took down 3,4,7 a few weeks ago as it had to many dead keys.
Currently testing 3 RTL SDR dongles with SDR TRunk. Have 3 small mag mount cellular (covering the LTE band so 700mhz is covered) set out on windowsill. While i get very strong signal im still not happy with decode. Not sure if its interference or something else. Several transmissions will be fine then bam i get a bad one. Sounds terrible. Going to give @CodeYeti77 feed a listen and compare his to my private feed.

Are you in range to host a Fort Worth Layer 2 feed, and have you thought about it? It would be nice to have them on Calls as well, someone used to host Layer 1, but it was pretty boring to listen to when I was out of town so I rarely listened to it since the majority of that layer is encrypted. Unfortunately none of my current machines are powerful enough to host an SDR powered feed or I would.

You guys setting up nodes for this system should go for the airspy instead.

I'll be moving up there next spring. I've got a whole set of boxes full of feed equipment, airspys, etc ready to go when I get there.
Thanks for the suggestion - just ordered a few.

Starting to wonder if I'll get this figured out by next Spring...

@CodeYeti77 Did you go with the R2 or mini? I am still using the RTL SDR v3 dongles and after spending a few hours experimenting with 8 different antenna combinations and replacing my USB hub i finally started to get some good decoding.

So the coverage for L2 has improved a lot. Back when they came online i could not get L2 on i30 east of 635. however now its booming out that way. I must admit my initial thoughts on its coverage was terrible and removed it from my devices. But now i have added it back to my G4 and KNG2 radio. I get a lot of choppy audio on those devices on L1 but NOT on L2. Mean while my SDS100 chugs along with no issues what so ever. I am also able to use my BCD436, HP2 and BCD996P2 at home using L2 with no issues.

This week I'll be posting the additional talkgroups that have been submitted. We have some really good complete lists for City of Dallas. Unfortunately, Dallas SO and other County entities are still missing.

Thank You all for your patience.

It is possible that we may be seeing DISD Police and some schools here in the next week. They start back I think next week, so be on the lookout for those entities. Dallas ISD was listed on the city plans to change over to NTIRN.

Ugh!! Apologies for the delay. I got caught in this other world called 'work'. I will get them in this weekend, so they should be downloadable on Monday. Be advised, the overwhelming bulk of Dallas PD are encrypted. Most of the clear PD channels have been posted.
