Status, did I miss something? Last NTIRN update was on 7/18, this post was on 7/31.
I have a Favorites list with all of the 'new' talkgroups entered, including translating additional TGIDs for city agencies other than public safety. If you'd like a copy of that, or the *.csv file that has all of them, send me a PM.

Thanks, but I'll wait. I like to rebuild my favorites list and Banks on my scanners sometimes twice a year. I have all the non-SDS scanners done. When I saw that message I held up to wait for those TGs. My toe just started tapping too much, so I thought I'd ask. It will get done, I just retired last year have too much time on my hands these days.

Yeah, I'm in the same deal, retired & trying not to get too bored.

I found a "new" site:
3-50
NAC 440
WRMF220
Terrell (DWU Tawakoni Balancing Reservoir)

769.61875 CC
Not showing alt CCs or neighbors.

I'm trying to find the Lake Tawakoni site. I'm hearing intermittent weak signals on 769.36875 & 770.09375 but too weak to decode. Can't tell if its a P25 CC and being wiped out by what appears to be voice channels from other systems.
Good band opening this morning. I finally found the Lake Tawakoni site.
3-51
NAC 441
772.39375 CC
no neighbors

With all of these talk groups surfacing, I still don't know which site to use for DPD. It does not show a layer above the talk groups.

This is weird.
The info I posted is what Unitrunker populated but the actual frequency I'm receiving on the PRO-2006 appears to be 771.00625.
Looks like maybe the band plan or LCN on the CC is wrong or something.

Dallas Layer 1 is the primary site for Dallas public safety. Dallas Layer 2 will likely have the same traffic, plus public works.

Will a BCD325P2 track the new City of Dallas system. Been out of the loop for awhile and noticed I wasn't hearing anything anymore on my HT1250?

That’s really dependent on your location.

The 325P2 is not a good choice to deal with simulcast systems. But simulcast issues are extremely location influenced. If you are in the “right place”, with the right antenna, the 325 might work. I use my 325P2 to monitor the system using a specific antenna and location inside my house. It does fairly well, but does miss some calls. That’s inside my residence, which has metal siding.

But if I try to use it when out driving around, it does not do well. The 436HP is somewhat better than the 325, but it also struggles when out mobile. The SDS series scanners handle the system whether at home or out around town.

All of the trunked systems here in the DFW Metro area have simulcast sites, so keep that in mind when choosing a scanner.

Dallas side updated. Please take look and let me know if there are any errors. Courts and Parks have yet to be added.

Hello Everyone,
Just curious if anyone has a list of radio ID's they could share with me. I don't listen enough or have my office set up just yet to be able to record. I'm looking for dispatch consoles and air unit's (hoping to be able to set up a visual alert on my scanner when an air unit is active).

I'm not sure what the heck is going on with DFR.

I have the Dallas "layers" on NTIRN on one of my scanners, and have it set to log & record all activity. I'm looking for new, not yet confirmed TGIDs, as well as seeing how what they have is actually being used. As I confirm non-public safety TGIDs, I then set them as avoid.

As has been discussed before, Dallas Fire Rescue has two dispatch channels set aside for Fire response, and two more designated for EMS dispatch. Plus, there are several "Tac" talkgroups, I presume for fireground traffic. But so far, we're seeing them use the two Fire Dispatch TGIDs much the same way the Uhf channels were utilized, one for fire response, the other for Rescue (EMS) units. And, instead of using one of the assigned Tac talkgroups, they have been using the EMS Dispatch Ch 2 TGID, 32004, and referring to it as 'Channel 4'.

Well, in the past few days, I've seen quite a bit of activity on TGID 32009, Tac A. But this afternoon, when it popped up on one of my other scanners, I heard something I was not expecting. A unit was calling for a wrecker for a "24 hour violation". Really?

I pulled the files for that TGID & started playing them back. Apparently, at least for now, this is being used for Parking Enforcement. Looking at the logs, this apparently started this past Friday. I've logged just under 140 hits with audio recorded. Probably, more transmissions than that are involved, but that is not the only talkgroup monitored. I looked at the UIDs, and so far, the one's that I'm seeing have not come up on any other TGID in NTIRN. I have the four designated Parking Enforcement TGIDs (33113 to 33116) set as 'Avoid', so I have not been keeping tabs on those.

I'm not sure why, but for some reason those two talkgroups (32009 & 33113) have been patched recently. Probably just a mistake, that hopefully won't last.

I'm seeing some new talkgroups showing up on the two Dallas layers. These are 32705, 32708, and 32713 through 32716.

So far, these are fully encrypted. The UIDs I'm seeing are in the 5M series, 5000000 to 5999999, which indicates a state, federal, or tribal agency per the February version of TSICP, version 24. I am not seeing those UIDs connected to other, known, talkgroups (such as DPS Tollway units) on NTIRN or the Dallas P25 NCTCOG system.

It'll probably be a year (or more) to get the bugs worked out of the system and put everyone on the right channels. It's Dallas after all ...
