Does FDNY EMS ever use their tac frequencies?

I've never heard activity on these frequencies the ones with 167.9 pl, should I just remove them from my scanner? Has anyone heard activity on these channels?

They are not used for the most part. Maybe for a special event they might get used.
Also they are simplex, so you would need to be near the units..

Yea I guess I'll just pulled them out then.

It doesn't make it easy that the tac channels are also repeater channels but with a different PL. it must make it very difficult to monitor.

Only tac channels used all the time are the citywide commands. The cfr tac not used for the most part, good idea just not used.

Most guys would rather see the tac channels as a simplex version of the dispatch. This way Bls can ask als what is needed.
