Looks like when mine froze last time it ate the dsdplus.radios file too... thank goodness for backups (almost 22k radios in there).

I also noticed that when it hung the most recent time the dos window kept saying 'waiting for groups window thread' or something to that effect. Then I had to force it closed with task manager.

Same with me. The 1st time it locked up it killed my groups and radios files.
Each time mine locks up i have to clock the X via the command window and wait a few seconds for everything to close

Been running only the radios window open and been going fine since my last post.

Guess as the Forts says, better make backups of your radios/group files if you dont want them to vanish and cause some cursing and beer opening

Love those new windows! Very useful!
Also love the new icons above the volume sliders :)
And one useful tip I learned by just clicking around - you can sort "things" in ascending or descending order, in "seen radios"and "seen groups" windows, by clicking on the column title. It's just like sorting files in windows explorer.

I've since found my .siteloader and .p25data files were munched too. So if you are playing with the latest version, keep backups!!

that's just the PC call data.... but yes, these are not high-traffic public safety systems (!)

d
Actually, your image attachment didn't show up for a while, hence the "very little traffic" remark from Mr. SmartyPants. :)

I hate to double post, but oh well - I have a question that I can't seem to figure out.. a few actually. The picture below shows what I believe to be "PRIVATE CALLS" on the system. I have the appropriate boxes checked to enable routing of the audio for these... but I really don't see CC event log entries to support them "in use" --- i would get it 100% if they are all encrypted... therefore no audio (unless you turn that on separately) ---- but is there something I am missing in regards to hearing the PCs?
I suspect that they're actually data calls. I'm seeing some radio IDs on P25 systems that show up with "PC" in the new radios window, but eventually they show a talkgroup number and never go back to "PC".

You can look through the event log to see if any private calls were actually seen.

Agreed. My system has very few users (at least in my area) using private calls, but when DSD+ encounters a radio but not a talkgroup (i.e. as you say a data call, or I presume perhaps just registration), I see the "PC" in the radio window.

Newbie question: How do I open the Groups window and Radios Window?

Change Log
----------

DSD+ 2.254

Added TDMA Tagging option. When enabled, " (TDMA)" is appended to the names
of P25 talkgroups that are seen making Phase II calls. These name changes are
stored in the DSDPlus.groups file.

Added Current/Seen Groups window. Displays all talkgroups that have been seen during
a user-specified time frame on the currently monitored system.

Added Current/Seen Radios window. Displays either all radios, or all of a selected talkgroup's
radios, that have been seen during a user-specified time frame on the currently monitored system.

Time limits of up to four hours can be used to display which talkgroups and radios are
currently active on a system. Longer time limits, up to 24 hours, can be used to show
which talkgroups and radios have been seen during that time period.

I didn't do anything special. Just clicked on the volume icon in the taskbar and they were there. As far as I can see they came from the new "seen radios" and "seen groups" windows.

I believe it's more a windows thing than a DSD+ FL thing..

It's showing the DSD+ Event Windows title bar text (including the current options). Don't think it's really new..

I think you're right; I run Windows 10 and I have to right click on the volume icon and select "open volume mixer" to see that.

Anyone else get a notification about another update? It just popped up, but I'm heading out the door, so it'll have to wait...

Yep, just now. 2.256 changelog:

Fixed current/seen groups window lockup.

Significantly reduced current/seen groups/radios windows CPU usage.

Fixed single receiver mode voice following of NEXEDGE DFA systems.

I didn't get notification when I started the program, but a manual 'check for new version' did the trick.

New version running ok so far with all windows open.... Nice work DSD+ team!

Well, I think I fixed it. At home I only monitor one single system, the nxdn system. I never had the siteloader setup, only the networks and sites. Since the last seen feature was working at work on the p25 system I monitor, I decided to try a p25 system at home. So I setup the additional networks and sites, then setup the siteloader and switched over to the p25 system. As I feared, my inside antenna wasn't enough to pick up the site. So I switched back to the nxdn system and behold, there are the last seen groups and radios.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I think the systems need to be entered into the networks, sites and siteloader files for the last seen to work.

I'm having the same issue.

After upgrading to 2.254, I'm unable to get DSD+ to decode a NXDN control channel. If I fall back to version 2.205, it decodes a NXDN control channel just fine.

Is there anyway to get version 2.254 to behave the way version 2.205 did with a NXDN Control channel?

You should be using DSD+ v2.256.
Try that version then post again in the thread shown in the post just before yours if you still have an issue.
