What bat files are you using to start both fmp24 and DSDPlus?

Post the message saying it can’t find the dongle.

Post what windows device manager show the dongle as under usb devices.

Like I said, I don't use the other items even though I do have another RTL-SDR I can plug in, but all my basic tests, have been just dsd+ and sdsharp and I get all the data I need.

What antenna is the dongle connected to and how close is the transmitting radio to that? Gain can be set to 0.0

Dave; Again, as mentioned, I have never used FMP (whatever), only dsdplus.exe. Nothing else.
been using DSD+ for years, and since the last few updates (Fastlane) I have not played with the GPS till
i got my 5600 and doing some testing for a customer use FAfo setup here.
Antenna, stock antenna at 0 db with sdsharp. (see my previous photos)
The radio is in low power, and on a GP5 Triband up 35 feet, so no it's not getting radiated like mad.
The radio sits on the floor with a remote kit (KCH-19 head) sitting on my desk and the deck 4 feet away from the PC on the floor.

Still, 2022 I was getting GPS from my 5700, 5800, nx-800 on a trunk system, all worked fine while I was ironing out the APRS via NXDN issue
which by the way, the GPS is wrapped in the Data stream and hard to pluck out of the NXIP stream from the conventional repeater, so
the idea of APRS with NXDN got nixed. HOWEVER, I was able to decode the Voice and GPS while transmitting (GPS would show up in GREEN) while going through the NXDN Trunk system at 4800 baud, AND even on simplex.

This time, I am trying 12.5 or 9600 baud since the 5600 only does 12.5 NXDN on low band.

Hope this clears up things.

I am guessing he is using SDR# and virtual audio cables to connect to DSDPlus. Then when FMP24 is started, it cannot find a SDR. It also would explain not having a single SDR choice and all the other greyed out options

Assuming you have all your files updated, main programs and base files.
Close ALL your SDR programs, not just DSDPlus related. Airspy/SDRSharp, etc

Have the RTL-SDR plugged in.
Start FMP24 via the batch file provided in the DSDPlus Base Files called FMP24-CC
You should see the program start using the one SDR
Start DSDPlus with the batch provided called 1R
They should communicate with each other.
You then can enter the frequency you are trying to monitor. The signal should

Looks that way.

He says he never used FMP24, but posts pics of it in use.

Have not seen any pics of sdrsharp's spectrum or settings, let alone at 0 db. But do see FMP24 running with gain maxed out while keying up the radio.

While it may have worked for OP in the past using sdr# and cables, for to get the most out of DSDPlus FastLane and enjoy all of its features, its best to use it the way it was intended with one of its included tuners (FMP24, FMPA or FMPP). Not with sdr# and virtual cables
