Update:
After talking with another PRO USER of this FMP stuff (M Tindor), who gave me pointers on the KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS of FMP, and other adjustments that look helpful to me (a non-user of FMP) Is was found that the GPS signal in NXDN on the NX-5600 has an issue and I have gone to Kenwood with the information about what I am seeing on the bench AND in live production.

SO, the question still remains, is anyone else decoding GPS data from NXDN transmissions from a know user (source)?

No point sharing my gain settings. My situation signal strength will be different to yours.

Gain settings are not inside FMP24.cfg. They are set / stored inside your .bat file.

You do run LRP.exe for GPS, right ?
No point to say anything then, if you're not willing to ELMER a non user of FMP, then the comments have no meaning. J/S.

@mtindor stepped up to the plate, in your place.

LRP.exe, Nope, never have HAD to.

@RaleighGuy That was something Tindor told me over the phone, as I have not seen or looked at the keyboard commands for FMP,
But will look into ironing out FMP in the coming days while working with Kenwood on the GPS issue.

My opinion goes for everyone. There is no point in sharing my gain settings. As I have multiple dongles at multiple locations and multiple aerials etc with varying lengths and types of cabling and with sites varying distances / altitudes etc.

By not saying it, I was saying it. Just need to read between the lines.

I did say roughly what values to use actually. Twice...

I get your frustrations. Just don't take it out on me ! ...It takes all sorts.

"@mtindor stepped up to the plate, in your place."

I find that a little offensive. Oh well. Not my issue.

"PRO USER of this FMP stuff"

A Professional ? This stuff is hobby mate.

Justification:
Too much gain introduces interference. You want the inverse bell-curve to occupy roughly 2/3 of the scale. Yours is at the top and overloading hard producing IMD etc.

No point to say anything then, if you're not willing to ELMER a non user of FMP, then the comments have no meaning. J/S.

Think you took his comment the wrong way as he gave good meaning in the Justification.

And with you being a radio guy, I would think you would understand why his gain settings would not do you much good. His gain settings would be based on the signals he is receiving, antenna being used and the environment his dongles are in.

You were also keying up a radio in close proximity to your antenna, and had your gain set to max. No Beano

Any no, RTL-SDR is not blown, because I can copy FT8 on 20m with it just fine.
While it might not be blown, it is experiencing issues.

And no, sdrsharp will not display that or give you indication. But your Fmp24 did. Rtl_test or rtl_tool can show things also.

Butcher meant to write LRRP.exe, but either way, you have used it.

Something you were asked about but never responded to.

Photo of my 5600 KCH-19 display from Friday. So yes, GPS is working.

By no means a radio expert, but, while the gps in the radio is showing where it is, could there be an issue with the radio transmitting that info?

Sure looks like it.

I find that a little offensive.

I'm sure others that offered help will also.
