And I have always monitored AMR Contra Costa, so I'm just wondering has anyone else had the same issue or has monitored AMR Contra Costa and have the same results of no traffic on talkgroup 5551

I was listening the other day in the open mode and I heard AMR on 2 new talkgroups that are not in the database (I did not write them down). Do a quick open mode search and you will find them.

Open mode is a term for bank-oriented scanners. On GRE/Whistler object-oriented scanners use the WildCard talkgroup. This will allow you to hear any unprogrammed talkgroup.

The Contra Costa page says they are using EBRCS. They are dispatched by the Sheriff's Office.

Ok. I have noticed that they each have their own patrol cars with their dpt emblem on them . But they all get dispatched through the Sheriff dpt?

Lafayette : Sheriff Patrol and Dispatch contract (Sheriff's Deputies driving Lafayette cars)
Orinda: Sheriff Patrol and Dispatch contract (Sheriff's Deputies driving Orinda cars)
Moraga: Sheriff Dispatch contract only (Moraga City employees driving Moraga cars)

Just as a side note, the Sheriff's Office also contracts dispatch services for Oakley Police, Los Medanos College Police, Pittsburg Police, Danville Police (also a Sheriff's patrol contract) and San Ramon Police.

Also, at one time the Sheriff's Office also dispatched for Clayton Police and Rio Vista Police

I am not one who listens to online scanner feeds much but I have a family member that is having some health problems so I have been listening to the ConFire feed. I still remember as a kid in the 70's when Antioch and Pittsburgh became the Riverview Fire District. Going on a tour of Station 1(81 now) downtown they had a Crown Snorkel there. Station 3 (83) was what is now the extra engine house behind the station on Lonetree Way. I just don't understand why they don't have one county department but have two with the east protection district. Sorry to go off topic. Even then as a little kid I was hooked on the fire service. I just never grew up. Lol
Found more on the new contract with AMR.

so if COCO Central is my site, I can do the Freescan download from RR with the 'Oakland' IDs and I'll be good to go?

Not there either unfortunately. They affiliate in the area they are in so primarily ALCO NW and SW. They would probably hit ALCO E of they were going to Santa Rita Jail, but they don't go there often as they have their own city jail.

OPD primarily affiliates with ALCO NW as that is the site that covers the Oakland area. Units will affiliate with ALCO SW when they make runs to John George or ALCO E when they make make runs to Santa Rita Jail.

Both the North County Jail aka Glen Dyer and Santa Rita Jail are run by the county. Female suspects are not accepted at NCJ and are taken to SRJ.

On July 1, San Ramon PD discontinued services with the Sheriff's Office for dispatch services. They now have a joint dispatch center with San Ramon Valley Fire. I can't monitor them from my home, so does anyone know what talk groups San Ramon PD are now using on the central site?

I'm guessing 7555 but can someone confirm.
