Yes we know how much you and your RF tech buddies love encryption, The more Motorola sells it, The More additional job security you have.... We get it. Carry on.Give it a rest already...reposting the same old op-ed in a free internet rag written by someone who has a financial interest is not changing the world.
But you can hand a reaction out and those are okay? You're missing a lot bigger picture Mr Communications Professional. Carry on.The reactions on here continue to prove my point everyday:
There is no need to censor my reactions while the reactions of others continue....But you can hand a reaction out and those are okay? You're missing a lot bigger picture Mr Communications Professional. Carry on.
Since when is there a "VOTE" ????@KevinC
Another vote to shut it down.
Especially as some people's feelings get REALLY hurt if you disagree with them.
@KevinC: You did the right thing by seperating the technical encryption comments from the general encryption comments, whatever that might be, INCLUDING expressing our displeasure on the subject. Some don't appreciate or understand your intentions, and the resulting comments. They want to only hear their own opinions, and do not respect others expressing their opposing opinions on the subject. RR is a community of Hobbyists, Techs, LE , EMS, Fire Dept members, etc... We appreciate you giving us ALL an opportunity on here to express our opinions on this important, but polarizing subject which most members are very concerned about, for obvious reasons. Since I am the most vocal member about Encryption, I have become the target from the Pro Encryption Tech community on here. Thats fine. I have no problem with opposing views as long as they are expressed in a RESPECTFUL manner. You know that has not always been the case. I will respect whatever decision you make on this forum.Or put members on ignore. But if everyone wants warnings to be issued just let me know, but be careful what you ask for.
I separated these posts and made a thread just so people could whine about it here and not pollute the technical side thread. If you don’t like the posts then don’t look at the thread, simple as that.
If I was bored I’d compare the number of posts complaining about the thread vs complaining about the actual thread topic, but I have a life.
One would think a "Communications Professional" would have an idea of the reasons behind encryption. And instead of playing the oppressed, put upon common fold, actually try to have a concise, clear dialog about it. Instead, you choose to be some self-proclaimed protector of the "right to know" and the holder of all virtue.Yes we know how much you and your RF tech buddies love encryption, The more Motorola sells it, The More additional job security you have.... Block me.One would think a "Communications Professional" would have an idea of the reasons behind encryption. It isn't your reasoning that is grating, it's your rhetoric. My county has been encrypted for 25 years and I do not like it one bit. But you don't bother, and make ASSUMPTIONS based on what tiny bit if information you glean from a online profile, and then do NOT engage in dialogue, but merely attack. Just like I did above.
Seriously if you are not happy with what I write then I suggest you ignore it, Don't read it, or just go ahead and block me. I'm not going to change my opinion on this subject or my style of discussions.Block me.
