Hello Everyone,
Lets see I hadn't made it over to the forums much previously, but now that I have I guess it's only proper that I check in.
I'm in St. Johns Co. Fl, Listen to SJCFR, SJSO, SAPD, Marine 16 22a 23, FEC RR, Putnam Co Fire, Flagler Co Fire. Along with a few other things. I do have a HAM general Lic, Planning to upgrade again next test.
I will go as far as to say most of you that listen to SJCFR have probably heard me on your scanner.

I live in Citrus County and provide the feed here now that it's intergrated from scanamerica.us.

Feeding Citrus County SO, Fire, and EMS.
With One Trunked bank, and 1 Conventional bank on a BCT-8 with +10DB boosted antenna.

Just one Drawback.. I get the Premium Service for providing a feed, and still had Premium Paid account that had time left on it.

Hey everyone!
Im a new ham and scanner enthusiast in Miami, Fl.
I have a DX-394, pro-2052, and a pro-2050 which i might be selling soon.
One thing that really gets me is antennas! I've spent multiple hours trying to
construct one, but they never work. Feel free to pm me good antennas for a scanner!
Also thankyou for having such a great forum!!!

Hey I'm Matt,

I live in Miami, FL just bought a bc346xt a few weeks ago, I love it. My Mom got me hooked on listening to scanners since i was little we always had one in the house I remember many nights falling asleep to the sounds of Metro-Dade Police dispatchers voices... I now listen to Miami Dade Police, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, and all the Municipalities in Miami-Dade.

Florida roll call (Sumter)

Greetings from out in the middle of nowhere in Sumter County! I found this site a while ago while trying to find frequencies for a friend in an adjacent county and have been blown away by how great it is. I recently noticed that Sumter County was one of the few counties that didn't have a feed and since I have the means to provide that, I figured I would. Right now everything is more or less temporary and is a work in progress, but I guess it will always be a work in progress. I am also a ham operator, but I don't get on there too much at this time. I used to volunteer for the local fire department and ever since then I have been into monitoring. It's great to be here and maybe I'll get the privilege to meet some of the other members here.

Hi all!
I live in Manatee County Florida. Unfortunatly, the Manatee County feeds have gone white. Listened to MSO and found it to be very active. My favorite feed now is the SanDiego Police and Fire Departments. Lot of chopper to ground radio transmissions and COPS style action.

Hello from Brevard County

Hello everyone...

I live in Brevard County, to be exact, Palm Bay FL. I used to live in Miami back in the 90's and hosted a website call Dade County Frequencies and Talkgroups...in those days it was the place to get accurate information for comms in Metro-Dade County & all things to do with Federal Comms. Since then, I moved to Brevard County in 2002 and due to personal reasons, put my radio monitoring on hold.

After attending the Melbourne Hamfest this past October, and meeting up with some of my old time friends (EL PICHIRULO!), I've decided to get back into monitoring. It's incredible how many new features are in the new trunk trackers versus the old ones. My outdated equipment includes a BC-250D (Main Scanner), BC-245XLT, AOR-1000, Pro-43 (for eTrunker), and an M/A-Com LPE200 Provoice radio. I'll be looking into ordering a BC-396XT really soon and perhaps purchasing a multiband radio such as an APX or Unity.

Like before, I've decided to set up a website for monitoring public safety comms. I've called it Brevard County Frequencies & Talkgroups or BCFT. Instead of a traditional site, I've gone ahead and hosted this on my personal sharepoint server. This platform is ideal for group collaborations, and will allow for hosting of files, discussions, blogging, and much more. Please feel free to visit my site...

Her are my websites:

Dade County Frequencies & Talkgroups (DCFT) [No longer in service, just archived]
Dade County Frequencies and Talkgroups

Brevard County Frequencies & Talkgroups (BCFT)
Home - Brevard County Frequencies and Talkgroups

BCFT Twitter
BCFT (_BCFT) on Twitter

Feels good to be back!!!

I live in Okaloosa County, Crestview to be exact. I usually only listen to Okaloosa Fire North, and Crestview FD, though do sometimes tune into the Okaloosa and Crestview police frequencies.
I listen to other local areas usually only when I'm traveling through them.

I live in Crystal River. Just got a MFJ 8322 portable scanner--having trouble programming talk groups! Does Citrus County use talk groups? If so I sure can not find them.

I could also use info on the 10-codes.
