Hey Thanks for uploading the Video well done, I just got to figure out a way to listen to again here from Reno Co.. I am listen via the scanner app on my Cell phone sounds pretty decent..
Has anybody else heard the Narcotics channels on the new digital system? They were encrypted on the old analog system. Did they change something or is it someone else just using the channels?
Interesting. From what I could hear last night it sounded like they were watching a house or apartment building. I could tell they had an undercover because they kept asking if anyone had phone contact w a certain officer.

For monitoring the State and SG P25 systems, yes.
Just ordered an RTL2832U usb dongle to try out an SDR solution to catching the P25 digital broadcasts in Sedgwick County. Have not played with SDR before, so looking forward to it, and if it works out well, will post a follow-up, because at less than $20, it might be a good option for some.

Before you go and mail it off, I'll suggest taking it down to the RadioShack in Derby and having Mark program it...

I'll agree 100% Mark does a Great Job programming Radios and he programmed my 2 Radios one that I bought at my Local Radio Shack my 396xt and the 996xt I bought from Mark he's real top class kind of Guy and he knows his Radios as He sells Ham units as Well and he can get just about any accessory that your Looking for one of main two he stocks is Comet Products and M.F.J products..
One more thing I'll suggest is if you stop by try early in the day that's the best time that Mark has free time on some Days he leaves at 4:00pm you can leave your radio and most of time it should be done the next day or the Day after..
And let him know what you want to program in Say like KSICKS, or the new Wichita or if you want to Travel with your radio he can put McPherson in as well as he did for my 2 Radios
Since you Bought the Radio some were else Mark might charge a Small Fee but if way in all the Frequencies and Name Tags that is installed in the Radio it's Well worth it.. And if you buy a Radio from Mark there's No charge for the Frequencies that he puts in it..

BearMounted a Wilson yagi in the attic today and pointed it at one site. Much better decoding (I can hear now!), but still problems with garbled dropouts.
Will be figuring out the bearing for other sites and trying them too. I'm pretty much equally 7-8 miles from four sites, which is a bummer. Might have some scrap aluminum plates I could use to block out nearby sites, otherwise a trip to the Yard tomorrow might be in order.

That's the Digital I was picking up the same thing on my 396xt over by Newton) On the KDICKS it does about the but not Quite as bad but it's still there..
On my 996xt I'm still picking up the Analog channels and it's as what always was a little scratchy but I prefer it over the Digital any day..

Anyone heard TG 323? I only caught the end of a convo as I walked into the room, but I think they were talking about moving things "so they could get back there." Sounded like the same WFD voices I heard on a TAC working a vehicle fire with heavy equipment just a few minutes before. Didn't get to hold in time to listen further and it's been quiet since. Not sure if TACs or WFD have commons now? Could be completely wrong here, just putting it out there in case anyone else picks it up.
Same problem (next to the airport). I'm actually 3/4 mile closer to the Douglas site than Viola/Haysville/Goddard sites. I work near Kellogg/135 and everything is nice and clear though.
