I don't even know what to say anymore
Me neither, I do my best to stay out of the way of the bull. For all I know it was named as it is just to p... me off. But he could clarify that if he chose too instead of making snide remarks.

From the Date base Administrator handbook

Site Names

Tower site names shall reflect the actual site name as used by the system, if known. If the actual name does not reflect the nearest local town or municipality, the name of the nearest hamlet, town or municipality shall be added in parenthesis after the site name; for example, "Big Tall Mtn (Little Teeny City)". Using "Actual Name (Physical Location)" will help prevent confusion when service techs and others refer on air to a site using the official name; giving the actual physical location will aid those with enquiring minds.

If the site name is a well-known feature named on a map, a hamlet/town/municipality name is not necessary.

If the actual site name is not known, the nearest town, municipality or census-designated place shall be used.

What question was posed and then ignored? Just curious. This is getting to be a big thread.

Question was why site 203 is named Quarryville? period. Thats it. Just expected a simple answer, I'd have been pleased. but nope, I get this.
It's Site 203, listed as "Quarryville" in the RRDB for uh...reasons.

So I was browsing the Spyserver earlier tonight and tuned into the Buffalo Airspy receiver that someone generously put up. I noticed the following two sites while scanning up and down the band. The neighbor site channel number looks funky but here are the findings:

454.6625 - 13.7

Screen Shot 2023-12-03 at 12.07.30 AM.png

424.750 - 26.2

This seems to be the continuation of the same system that was researched back in 2022 on this thread ?

Saia has settled on a MOTOTRBO Capacity Max system to replace the Connect Plus system. What you are seeing are remnants of them testing a Selex system up there. You can disregard those findings, they're no longer relevant.

Slightly OT, but do you get audio from DSDPlus when you monitor systems on the Spyserver network? I haven't been.

I didn't have issue using DSDPlus through spyserver. I use virtual audio cable and make sure I don't have Monitor Source Audio enabled in DSDplus input settings to avoid looping effect.

The neighbors list on site 131 changed this morning. It was 111, 112, and 130; now it is 121 and 130. The control channel for 121 is listed as 478.825 which is/was the control channel for site 111. Nothing on the FCC site indicates where this site 121 could be. I can't receive 478.825 here so maybe someone nearer NYC could check what the neighbor list is. This whole thing might be just a typo entered into the site 131 neighbor list.

Im still receiving site 111 on 478.825 from Northern Westchester. Nothing from my Southern Westchester location, tho.

Looks like someone at Goosetown fat-fingered the neighbors list for site 131. Is the neighbor list for 111 still 112 and 130?

The site is showing up as isolated according to DSD+. Also, If the Control channel is 472.0625, then why was it showing as 478.825 before on site 131?

It still is showing 478.825 in the site 131 neighbors list. It's an error because I received the control channel on 472.0625.

What I meant was, can you hear the decoded audio?

DSD+ 2.448 has corrected site designations for this TIII system. All relevant files need to be updated in DSD+.
