help with encryption sound

hello while scanning on the 500 the motorola system, in delaware. some talkgroups south like there encrypted. i know that they are not acording to database. these talkgroups do not do this all the time, but they do make the sound whils they are talking. is there any way to stop this othere than just pressing scan. my uniden 996 will scan rite by this as it just starts to hear this. is there any thing i can do to stop this on the 500. what makes this happen. are they hitting encryption switch. why does the 500 not skip this like the 996 does. thanks for any help in advance. frank and by the way i still cannot figure out how this scanner downloads the updates. im pretting much giving up on that, i just cant figure it out, after i download the up dates. thanks again.

I use temporary lockout. Not the best solution, but it works for the short term.

I take it on the GRE the sounds is still coming through? IF so do we know when they fix it, that it will take the sound out but still stay on the talk group till someone is done talking? On my 396 I had a problem that in encrypted talk it stopped the sound but then would start scanning. It should have stayed on that talk group till they were done talking since not all traffic on some talk groups are fully encrypted.
