So I got my pager in today and I have it programmed. Took me a little bit to figure it out but once I did, I didn’t have that bad of time. Now I need to see if I can lock out channels on this. I don’t like listening to the ambulance to hospital transmissions. I also notice all the districts, and even car to dispatch within the same district has variable audio loudness. It goes from blasting to not being able to hear it every transmission. But at least I can get the transmissions unlike with the Uniden scanner. But overall, it was well worth it so far. Another feature I like is it being moisture resistant. I ruined a Uniden scanner years ago when I got it wet during a snowstorm in Maine. Luckily, I don’t have to worry about snowstorms in Florida, but rain is another story 😂

You can remove any talk groups you don't want to hear, make sure your Unication is in TG scan mode and not TG monitor as the latter will stop on every talkgroup.

Just out of curiosity what Uniden were you using to track that system ?. Actually I went back and found your post. Yes, the bcd325p2,while a great scanner, does not play simulcast very well, and is a battery hog.

I think I only have one more question about the G4 functions. I was wondering if this has a delay function that you can set so you can listen to dispatch and replies without it immediately going back to scan. But I have to say I really like this radio/pager!

Caught 15023 today something on Tampa PD side haven’t identified it units calling in tags

None of the fire talkgroups are being patched today. I guess it was just temporary what I was hearing.

I noticed some encryption on Temple Terrace police dispatch. The particular unit was encrypted but dispatch was clear. Other units were clear also… maybe a supervisor?

I have programmed my BCD436HP with sentinel software for the Hillsborough county P25 Phase 2 and I am hearing nothing. is there something I am missing that is not in the Sentinel software data base?

There is a HOLD button located on the bottom left you can use to pause the scan until you are finished listening to a specific talk group. There is also a "nuisance" LOCK button on the bottom right. Hope this helps. BTW, TPD is full time on P25.

That scanner is susceptible to simulcast distortion. Upgrade to an SDS scanner to properly scan simulcast systems.

I just moved to Tampa from Texas where I was the feed provider for a large city PD. I wanted to ask all of you locals for suggestions on what agency/system/TG's you would like to see on a new feed here. I was leaning towards HCSO or Tampa PD. I have 2 SDS100's and a box of various SDRs. I would be willing to provide at least 1 feed for now maybe a second later. Im located in Carrollwood and pickup the Hillsborough P25 system very well. Thanks
