The distortion/overmodulation might be the result of your scanner picking up multiple towers simultaneously and decoding them together.

Does it sound different if you apply a layer of attenuation?
Thanks for quick reply... dosn't seem to make a difference is it not distorted for you?

I'm new to the SDS200 and can't figure out why I am unable to listen to HCSO frequencies. There is definitely an uphill curve on learning this unit. I tried updating the full database. I just don't know where or what to to start changing and I don't want to screw it up worse. Aby help appreciated. Thanks

First things first: download Sentinel.

From there, download any firmware and database updates as prompted. Create a favorites list, add the system from the database to the favorites list, and then write it to the scanner.

Give the "Easier to Read" SDS200 manual a read as well: Easier to Read SDS100/200 Digital Scanner Manual

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate the "Easier to Read Manual" as the one that comes from Uniden is definitely not an easy read.

Just wanted to know if anyone knew what channel(s) is being used for the Florida State Fair and if anyone knows the TGIDs for them. I would like to listen using my SDS100 but have yet to find out what channel they're using.

Does anyone happen to know what channel the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is operating on for the state fair? I've checked the ISSI channels and the countywide channels and there is nothing about the fair on those channels. If someone happens to know what channel they're on and has the TGID for it, that would help a lot. I'm trying to listen to it using my Uniden SDS100. Thanks!

If you get no replies, or your impatient like I am, and if the system is programmed in a favorite list, try turning on Id Search on the system. It will reveal any tg's that you do not have programmed in. Also best to only be monitoring the site that fair comms would be on.

HCFR uses their TAC 13. HCSO uses IC TAC E 1 (inside fair) and IC TAC E 2 (traffic/parking). Both use IC TAC E 4 (inter agency).

What are the TGIDs for those HCSO TGs and what does IC stand for?

So far I've logged these, but can't tell what the TG alias are:

10311
10402 Talking about Norwegian Cruise employees and the aquarium
10403 Cops talking about cruise ship passenger drop-offs at Port Tampa Bay
10405
10406 HCSO Motorcycles State Fair
10407 HCSO Training
10412 HCSO ICAT Traffic Stops
10533 Talking about 2,000 or 1,890 psi remaining.

ICAT = Interdiction Criminal Apprehension Team

Would you happen to know the TGIDS for these channels? If you're able to provide them of course.

I made a boo boo. HCSO was using the County Event channels, not Intra County Tacs.

East Site:
7Event1 = 10401
to...
7Event12 = 10412

West Site:
7Event13 = 10385
to...
7Event24 = 10396

You can calculate everything else in between.

Great! Those TGs have been a nag for a while now trying to figure 'em out. Glad to finally get those identified.

Thank you!

Would you be able to provide the intra tac channels TGs to me? I used to be able to listen to them when they were still on EDACS.

Noticed last night that no radio traffic on the P25 system. Did they change anything or are they having issues? Was picking everything up fine 2 days ago? Is anyone else having Rx issues?

Does anyone know what TG 10533 is? I keep seeing that one on the East System.
