"VD1" has been around for a long time. He records working scenes for training/quality-assurance purposes and assumes pubic information officer duties in the absence of PIO1. The apparatus is simply an administrative vehicle.

Someone in the area I lived at shot videos for the fd/pd back in the 90s not sure if he’s still doing that. I think I heard vid1 responding once a blue moon.
I just programmed my SD100 with all the info for the P25 system. Everything receives correctly but have never heard a Plant City transmission on the East system nor have I observed a listed talk group on search. Did they get new IDs or go to another system. I never had a problem on EDACs
I’m in Polk county. I can’t hear the system unless I’m close by or higher grounds. Unless Plant City hasn’t fully moved over yet? I did get two new tgs 10856 11073
856 is one of the Parks talk groups and 1073 is School Security. On the old system if it was patched you needed the patch number for it to stop on that conversation to hear it. I loaded 100 patch numbers and still nothing.
Hearing Plant City just fine on P25. Same talkgroups in the database.

No, it's still going strong. HCC Public Safety still analog.
Its activity is for sure dwindling as more and more users migrate to P25.

The school district security channels (1073 and 1089) are still on the EDACS system but are now ProVoice channels. I assume it's a multicast because 11073 also exists on the P25 system.

2 hours ago I went to a spot in polk county that is pretty high and was picking up edacs to p25 and conv stuff. On Site 41 I was picking up that vhf side no audio. Control Channel 169.8875 and I got 2 other vhf alt cc 170.5625 173.8125 while using unitrunker. On dsd plus the 169.8875 will go to 776.2875 the other 2 freqs don't show up for the 700 side.
