I feel like we would want a tad more information before adding it to the database. As little as if it's a dispatch, tactical, car to car type channel would help.
OK, I'll see what I can find out. I haven't caught much traffic yet. What I did catch appeared to be testing (but testing by deputies, not by techs). I may have some recordings from when I was away from the scanner. I'll see if I can find any help by listening to any of those. Thanks for the reply!

So I am still not sure about 41927 and 41928 as they just seem to be used for regular dispatch occasionally. But there's also 41929, and deputies were referring to that channel as "ROAM."

For some reason there was a lot of Medical Calls on Region 6 Interop today in the QC. Did that have anything to do with this new site by any chance?

It appears to me, that State Radio (Cedar Rapids) was getting the phone calls, and relayed them to Scott County, Davenport, and Bettendorf. It appeared that routine calls were "teletyped" to the Iowa QC.

I don't think it has anything to do with the new site (which appeared about a week ago after I went from using Terminal to a browser display).

What you heard was probably a 'C' (DNR) and not a 'T'
So I talked with my Trooper buddy recently and asked him about the "C"s, "T"s, and "G"s. I'm getting old so I may not remember exactly, but the jist of what I recall is that "C"s are DNR, "T"s are along the lines of fraud investigation (identity theft, etc), and "G"s are along the lines of (illegal) gambling investigation.

C Conservation as in State Parks, Game Wardens and Biologists (the series 300 with the last two the county they are assigned}
T was DOT Enforcement which are now just troopers so T are gone for now
F are Federal Agents
G is State Casino Agents?

If that were true every other HEMS agency/company operating in the state would be violating it. Also multiple EMS and 911 centers. HIPAA is not a reason to use encryption. Just a sales pitch.

It's the old nobody needs to know about unless we tell them.

Perhaps "T" used to be DOT, but I know for a fact that I still hear "T" units so they are not gone. Thus, I will take my friend the troopers word for it that the "T" units are fraud investigators.

And yes, he was one of the DOT Enforcement that moved over and is identified as a regular trooper now, although he tells me that his primary function is still doing a lot of the DOT Enforcement.

T was the DOT enforcement.
G appeared to be Parole or Probation officers as they would go residential locations. I have since blacklisted TG 5301 so I have not followed it for a while.

Quad Cities area users.......has anyone noted a new ISICS site? I am showing it as RFSS 2 Site 147.
Any idea on frequencies? Muscatine County is set to move from Starcom21 to ISICS with 7 sites but I have yet to hear any new sites in the county on 700 MHz.

I imagine this is a longshot, but does anyone know what talkgroup 5075 is? It's in the middle of the DPS allocation, so I imagine it's some state agency affiliated with DPS. This TG just showed up on the tower near me, and all the traffic is encrypted. Two units are talking. By the range of the unit ID, one looks to be a DPS unit in the "DPS/State Patrol mobiles 11000 - 11999" range. (It's 11703). The other is a very low unit number. The page of unit IDs at Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communications System (ISICS) RID/UIDs - The RadioReference Wiki starts at unit ID number 10000. This one is 3102. There's no indication what a unit number that low would be a part of. Just curious if anyone has any ideas. I do live in the same county as a casino with an auxiliary DCI office. It could conceivably be DCI . . . Thoughts?
