Those considering the SDS100 should not hold off because of rumors of impending new radios. While its age may be nearing the 4 year mark, the thing one must consider is that if and when Uniden introduces new radios, would you really want to be the first to jump on the bandwagon, given Uniden's problematic history with getting things right the first time around with new product launches?
By this time, the SDS100 (and 200) are pretty much "tried and true" devices. There will always be something new "on the horizon". But of course, the horizon is nothing the you can really ever reach.
