Meeting with Uniden in Texas about new models for Europe. First to be expected is UBCD160DN. Hope it is ready before end of this year. We will keep you updated
I did before I sent mine back I have no idea what it was supposed to do, but in my case the radio didn’t perform well after.Anyone upgrade the firmware for the BCD160DN? I noticed there’s one available.

Maybe someone from Uniden or one of the beta testers will let us know!

The link to Amazon is for the Uniden Amazon Store account. Apparently, they haven't sold a 160 on Amazon yet.

"Never be an early adopter!"FYI: specific to the BCD160DN model, I would avoid purchasing this scanner for a little while as it has some serious receiver issues. First, it randomly stops receiving randomly altogether, requiring a power cycle to recover, sometimes several. Second issue relates to the VHF aircraft band where the squelch hangs open for no apparent reason; comparing side-by-side with the BC-125AT, SDS-100 and other receivers, there is no likely reason for this other that internal issues within this receiver. Third, there are many birdies in this radio compared to other receivers, including the BC-125AT and SDS-100; hard to believe the SDS-100 is actually a better receiver on VHF/UHF conventional analog AM/FM than this scanner. Finally, Uniden stores return policy DOES NOT take into account receipt of a defective product, they still expect you to pay return shipping even though they shipped a clearly defective product; consider where you purchase your scanner from closely and how they will address defective hardware issues for a new product. I've been in contact with Uniden today, escalated to a customer service supervisor and they are also supposed to make Joe Bearcat aware of these issues with the BCD160N, though he should already be aware of them if he's following these forums.
Recommendation for now, stick with the BC-125AT for VHF Airband or if you have an SDS-100, with the proper settings, work's perfectly fine for VHF Airband and is actually a better performer than this BCD160N if you can believe that...

Akuriko-NEVER buy (purchase) the first production run of anything, period!i wanted to say start wathing out on amazon, ebay and so forth, the scalpers are out in force, grabbing and bagging the scanners faster then you can click check out, I would just ride out the errors, delays and problems and wait for them to iron them out and buy a different model.
so with all the 160 problems and 260 problems how to they compare to the at125? 30c? 325p2 or 996p2 or the 15x?
also scalper alert check out amazon has raised or the scalper has on amazon for the 160
