I ordered my 260 from Uniden on a friday and had it monday afternoon...
Good for you folks. They charged my CC the same day I ordered so figured it would ship out. Nope.
Just talked to Uniden. Said it shipped monday. Asked about a tracking number that I never got. Said fedex is supposed to send it when they get it. Doesn't sound right as I have always received my tracking number from the company I ordered from. Guess I will have to wait a few days before I start digging into them. Tried there tracking with my order number. Doesn't register at all.
If you sign up for a FedEx Delivery Manager account, you can see packages shipped to your address, even if the shipper does not email you the tracking information. (UPS and USPS offer similar services as well)

Think someone forgot to to ship it. Just got a fedex tracking number showing label has been created. Last time I order from them. Should have shipped out monday afternoon.
It's pretty bad when the deceased Uniden Product Manager has visited more recently than the current one...

What does everyone with a 160DN have for firmware? Mine is 1.01.01. Also, I set my display to light up when it breaks squelch. It will do it once, then won't do it again. Am comparing against my R30, which is set to light up display when it breaks squelch. Can someone set theirs to light up display when squelch is broke? Let me know if yours does or does not after the 1st time.

Does it do it all the time or just the one time? Mine will not light up the screen after the 1st time it lights up when breaking squelch.
Yes, all the time.
On my 160 when set to break squelch it lights up for about 5 seconds even if the audio last 30 sec. But will do the same when ever it receives a signal, that’s why I set mine to infinite. On the 125 you have the option for squelch and key press on at the same time, the light stays on the hole time with squelch on no matter how long the transmission is.
Im sure we will hear it’s to save battery 👎🏼
Right now I have 1.01.00 I didn’t do the upgrade this time, no body seems to know what the newer version does!
It would be great if Uniden did some communicating about this, or maybe one of the beta testers that had this scanner for 2 years.
