Welcome back fayette.....
I work in Lexington and live in Woodford and monitor Central Kentucky... My wife got me back into this after a few years "off" and it is really interesting now.... I can help you with the rat shack scanners if that is what you decide to buy....

Hey ET here from as far north in the state as you can possibly go. I work in both Fire/EMS & Law Enforcement so have everything in the North covered.

Been following the site for a while but never said anything . . . good stuff here, keep up the good work!

I live in Central KY and monitor Taylor, Marion, Green, Casey, and Adair. I also monitor KSP Columbia, London, Richmond, Bowling Green and every now and then I'm lucky enough to hear KSP Frankfort and E-town if the weather is right I guess. I monitor with a 996 and have just purchased a 396 about a week ago.

David here!

Live in LaRue Co. but work in Anderson, Hardin, Nelson, Meade, Barren, and Metcalf counties. I'm a retired Paramedic Supervisor from Hardin Co. EMS after 24 years. I'm also a firefighter with Hodgenville-LaRue Co. FD.

Currently I'm parttime in all those counties and I'm in the process of employment with Dow Corning in Etown in Loss Prevention.

Hello from WADDY,KY. I have been monitoring off and on for about 15 years. I now work at home in a home office and thought it might be fun to get a base unit. I now have a PRO-2037 that I got from and EBay user with an external antenna. I listen to all of Shelby County Public Service and SDF Approach and Departure. In addition, I monitor the Amature Repeaters in my area. I hope to now move into the HAM area myself once I test.

Hello

O.K. I just moved to Kentucky in January. I just got my first scanner earlier this month. I monitor Jefferson County Police/Fire/Ems/So and my little campus Police. That is when I have the time to mess with it. I gradually find myself being consumed by other things lately.

Oh yeah, is 10-47 code for irate or violent behaviour? The best I can tell using context clues that is what it means.

Welcome to the forums

Code meaning for 10-47 is intoxicated subject. 10-46 is disorderly.

I worked 11 yrs for Louisville Metro and can help you 10-codes if you need them.

Let me know if you need any assistance.

Doug

(What campus, I am looking for frequencies for Bellermine.) Used to have them

I would really like to take scanning to the next level. Some of the stuff is wrote different in the manual thatn on the data base and it has had me running n circle but i would like to monitor anything in western central KY that my lil 97 would handle but mainly in Hopkins , Christian , clay,Todd,Logan,Webster Countys
if anyone knows anything about anything and does not mind to share it would really help me out ...... I like police, ems, fire, fish n game , and other dept's

Hi Bullseye... welcome to rr.com. There should be some help in here... do you have WIN 97 (the programming software for the 97)? That makes changing stuff a lot easier than entering it by hand, also makes it easier to trade freq lists already programmed.... keep us posted on your progress.
