That should be stored as a conventional channel. All the KSICS stuff need to be set on P25. You hearing any other digital traffic other than wabaunsee s.,o.?

I am using a Radio Shack Pro-197 digital trunk scanner. I have programed the 851.450 and downloaded for the recommended 3 towers as well as Wabaunsee SO trunk channels. I used to have other digital traffic ( Troop B) but removed them in order to get the Wabaunsee ones set properly. Today I am able to receive both the cars and dispatch, just a little scratchy at times, that is why I was questioning about other related settings.
I am beginning to comprehend all of this and thank you all for your help and continued support!

New Police Talkgroup
At 5:42 P.M. 7-20-10 I picked up Haven Police Department in Harvey County. Haven #2 just went 10-8
on the air on talkgroup 2366. I also keep hearing somebody talking on talkgroup 2389, but it is always
garbled. It does not sound like it is encrypted, but maybe the spacing is not set right to hear it clearly.

Haven is in Reno County, not Harvey. According to the list that was recently posted to the database 2366 is Reno County Sheriff Dispatch. Expect we're going to hear more in the next few days, it has been said they were going to make the big switch this month. And what you hear on 2389 is encryption. I asked someone who would know and it is not full time, they have to turn it off/on, it is likely a car to car channel for one of law enforcement agencies (Sheriff or Hutch PD). Oh and thanks to those who tried to help me with my programming. It made a bit of a difference and made me realize I had some KHP TG's mislabeled, I am still hearing traffic on Sedgwick County's KHP-1 that I don't hear on the state system but I'm thinking there are a myriad of reasons that could cause that in the way the 2 trunk systems are set up.

where Halstead is. It was about 2:00 A.M. when I was posting. I have not heard anything else on that tg 2389 except the garbled to prove that it is not fulltime. When Reno County goes fulltime, will hear them fulltime or just part of the time?.

Dickinson County is in Highway Patrol Troop C.
That area is still on the conventional 800 analog system. There is a tower in Dickinson County that will give you the best reception.
does any one have 396t file for the area arond Herington, ks for KHP. That they would like to share with me please.

Dighton: 852.1125 site id: 029
Scott City/Modoc area: 852.4625 site id 031
Syracuse: 851.55 site id: 037
Lakin: 852.4875 site id: 032
I matched the frequencies with the latest news update at the beginning of the KSCIS database page. I am using a PRO106. Shouldn't it be showing a number other than 0 for the for the first digit in the site id?

Just a FYI, the Reno Co Sheriff dispatches calls to all the cites in Reno County except for Hutchinson. This includes Buhler, Haven, Nickerson, and South Hutchinson.

I heard today that Kingman P.D. or Kingman S.O is on a 800 frequency. I overheard a KHP Trooper talking about on P-25. Does anybody know what 800 and what frequencies Kingman might be using?. If so please post them. Also find out if you can if they are going to go to the State P-25.
Check out the KSCIS page here on RR. Kingman county will most likely be using the Partridge, Preston, and Sharon towers. The control frequencies are listed there. I have been hearing a few talkgroups with ID numbers that are not in the database. I should have written them down.

I heard a unit say they were headed back to Stafford on KSICS on tg 2044. The 2044 tg is not in the data base, so I don't know who it was. Any ideas anybody.
