I found that in the User CP there is a place for editing the 'Ignore List'.

Simply add a username to the list and they pretty much vanish from the board. The only time you would have to suffer through their post is if someone quoted them.

I'm looking forward to the analyze function that will be provided via firmware. However, I would much prefer to wait for a quality release, rather than one that meets the Q1 deadline and is not quality.

The only problem I have had with my 436 was with the serial driver and Upman posted an alternative driver that did the trick for my computer. I don't miss my old (and sold) PSR-500 at all.

Hey AZ, try this one on for size: If you're so happy with your scanner then why are YOU in the Uniden Tavern? Shouldn't you be singing the praises of your scanner in the other Uniden forums? Why not put ME on ignore? Then you never have to deal with me again. Think about THAT!

You seem to be operating under the assumption that your presence here is bothering me. It's not. I'm just genuinely curious why you're so upset that an app hasn't been released for a scanner you don't own. I guess we'll never know - I've asked you three times and you refuse to answer. No biggie, I'll stop askin'. If you'd rather that I and others here just put you on ignore instead, that's fine too, I'll be happy to oblige and I'm sure they will also.

LI might not own one but, I think he is being sympathetic and seeing the whole picture for those who are going through this. It doesn't take any one person to have to own this scanner to see when a company is screwing people over. If that is the greatest argument someone has is to saying someone can't comment on business practices because someone doesn't own one is rather lame and childish excuse.

Some people are concerned with the analyze feature. For me, I don't care about that feature but, I am not going to discredit their concern and complaints like others. If you don't like people voicing their concerns then don't read it and then comment in retaliation about their "complaining" because you're not adding anything beneficial but complaining about people complaining.

I find this whole thread and forum amusing. For a multitude of reasons.

Like all the hullabaloo over this app for example. What are the odds of certain folks we all know and love (who yes, don't own the scanner in the first place) coming in here once it's released to complain that it doesn't do X, Y or Z like Uniden "promised"? 99%? 100%? Put it this way: I'll be SHOCKED if that doesn't happen. SHOCKED.

I may not own the scanner either, but the difference is I'm not crying about it in every thread posted about it like a spoiled little child, unlike others who seem to have a singular mission to complain. Is it asking too much to talk to such a person and ask them why they do this? Apparently so.

So people trying to get information about functionality for implementation for use in a public safety environment is now crying and complaining? Not everyone is crying and complaining. I for one have no problem waiting for the app to be released. I would like some clarification on some things so I know if I need to continue to wait or make other plans to implement the radios into my environment. I am not going to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to. You need to learn the difference and not lump everyone into that category. Again, some have some valid concerns and questions for clarification purposes for planning.

The whole lot of droolers who keep posting the same BS again and again, like they're doing some kind of "favor to the world" by "identifying the flaws" in the scanners, make all the rest of us want to {quit the forums entirely|take hostages|go live in a cave without Internet|break all your fingers so you can never type again|any number of other things to stop you from posting}.

I know this post won't make you give a **** (and stop posting) any more than anyone else's implorations have. But it makes me feel good to get it off my chest, so there.
