People still do not get it. SMH.

Uniden has falsely sold these new scanners to the public and time is ticking away to save themselves from possible litigation and possible legal problems in the future. While it might not be that big of a concern to the multimillion dollar company, it is to some here in the real world.

Not everyone is "crying", but there are a bunch of you that really need a reality check! What makes anyone better than the next? Owner of a scanner or not?

I for one do not like getting hoodwinked out of my hard earn money. Why should anyone else? This is why I chime in on what I think and know.

I also thought that this section was the section all you know it all's wanted this discussion? Now you want it moved to the Rant section? GET REAL. It is not going to disappear until Uniden get's their ship together. So far this year they have more negative than positive with the new scanners. I do not recall having this many issues or problems with the HP-1....Maybe they should have left a GOOD thing alone!

We just about have 4 days left until the end of Q1. UPman is off at a convention this week and seeings how he is the only one to release anything Uniden here on RR we might not see or hear anything until the end of next week. MAYBE??????

Carry on folk's. I know you will! ;)

I will have answers for you all tomorrow directly from Paul himself.

It has come to my attention through some very reliable sources that Uniden doesn't give two *****s about the scanner program and Uniden actually wants to can it all together. If it wasn't for Paul the scanner program at Uniden would be dead. So to Paul thank you on that aspect for keeping scanners alive. Just as most of us have expected including myself, this isn't Pauls fault it is Uniden. Well get it together Uniden. On that note, those who are blaming Paul (UPman) shouldn't be blaming him, blame Uniden as I have stated before. This isn't all on one man.

On that note, those who are blaming Paul (UPman) shouldn't be blaming him, blame Uniden as I have stated before. This isn't all on one man.

Paul has made himself the preverbial face of Uniden on RR. He's a hero to the scanner folks when Uniden makes any sort of positive announcement. He's the villain when Uniden doesn't live up to scanner folk's expectations. I'm not suggesting that this is rational -- on the contrary. But it's no mystery why UPMan is synonymous with Uniden. He has made himself far too available.

If you feel you were hoodwinked, you have five options:
  1. Try to return your scanner and get your money back.
  2. Sell you scanner and accept the loss you may take by doing so.
  3. File legal action against Uniden.
  4. Patiently wait for Uniden to resolve the problem.
  5. Seek mental therapy to address your anger and frustration.
Note that posting on an Internet forum is not listed. You can, of course, continue to do so, but doing so accomplishes nothing. Making repeated posts here about Uniden's shortcomings does not solve the problem.

This is why I chime in on what I think and know.
How presumptuous for you to assume that you know anything about Uniden's release of Siren and how arrogant of you to feel the need to share your lack of knowledge with the community. You know nothing about the release so why do you keep saying, well, nothing?

The postings about the release of the Siren app are like going on a automobile trip with kids in the back seat. "Are we there yet?" "No." "Are we there yet?" "No." "Are we there yet?" "No." "Are we there yet?" "No." "Are we there yet?" "No." ad infinitum

If you feel that strongly, as W9BU says, file legal action under false advertising. It will go about as far as this thread has gone. Nowhere. Chill, my man, I had my frustration with the scanner and got through it. This is a hobby. And +1 on W9BU's post

Funny how both of you think I want to sue Uniden. I do not. If I was going to go this route do you think I would be helping out on the site and copping a gripe? NO! I am merely posting information for others to read. Sorry if some of you feel it is not correct or even if it is liked by some.

That and the fact that some mod decided to take it upon themselves to put out misleading information that the app will be available the end of Q1. Which as I showed in my first posting HE (UPman) DID NOT state at all. Matter of fact, the App should have or a BETA should have been out already. The only thing that shows the Q1 status is on the Uniden site ONLY under the 536 sales page. There is NOTHING public for consumers to have this knowledge otherwise and most consumers do not come to the RR site for help/ news on a product. Not even on the Uniden site is there ANY mention of this crap.

I am sorry if you diehards think it is OK to sit and wait. There are many others that do not feel this way. You might have missed that busting people's balls. The fact lays with Uniden now. If they do not come out and release an App by the end of next week, then they falsely sold scanners in the beginning to the people who pre-ordered them in regards to the App. Then add the fact that THREE months after selling the 436 to the Public and making NO mention Publicly of the Analysis mode not coming with the radio and you have more issues. Bundle them all with the "recall" and other issues and some have a case to get more than what they paid for the scanner to begin with.

Still Learning." thread, which was posted by a DB admin who took Uniden up on their deal for early purchase & delivery before the general public, so there goes your theory that "months" went by with no mention of analysis mode):

Analyze is still in engineering.

From 2014-01-15:

'There will be more trunked system info displayed once we roll out the Analyze update.

From 2014-01-16:

Analyze is not going to be there for general release...it will be added in a future update. Will work very similarly to the HP-1 analyze mode.

Maybe UPMan is as tired of the BS from you lot as the rest of us are, and repeating himself over and over again (which doesn't seem to get through some rather thick skulls here), and needed some time away from the drivel.

Fact is it was told a FEW weeks before release of the 436 and MONTHS after it was being marketed to the public as this mode and others coming with the scanner OTB.

Oh, and the other FACT of this is they NEVER SAID IT PUBLICLY to people OTHER than on a PRIVATE SITE.

So Mr. I wanna keep breaking ball's what do you have to say?

The OP is really not far off base here, he is asking and inquiring about features that were indicated they are part of these products.

There have been a number of other extraneous members here that just continue to poke and stir the pot. Also a number of other cyber bullies that just cannot refrain from demeaning comments.

All the x36HP owners are all in the same boat here. We are all waiting patiently for the release of firmware and Apps.

So lets just stick with the facts, a number of members would like an update directly from the source, will we see something in the next few weeks or are these features delayed until mid year??

The constant bickering and badgering is really unsettling and really needs to stop.

If members do not have positive things to contribute, hold your tongue.

Um, I have treated other members just fine. If by slinging mud you mean talking bad about Uniden then I am not sorry. I treat them the same way I treat any other company that does these type of things.

If you or anyone else from the site has an issue with me, please feel free to take it up with me privately.

Trying to correct me like I am a three year old does nothing for you.

Waste of time Jay, they may not want to be treated like a three year old but they sure like to act like one.

They won't listen or accept the point you're trying to make and now are playing the "Poor me, victim" card to the hilt.

I hope Uniden treats them like I dealt with my kids when they tried whining. The more you whine the less likely I'm going to let you have what you want. LOL

Bottom line Uniden will tell them what they want to when they want to and they can spend all day every day carrying on about it and Uniden is still going to do what they're going to do when they're darn good and ready to do it and not before. :)

Contrary to what they have said I can understand wanting to know when the app is going to come out or wanting information on what its going to do even if all this new tech stuff isn't my thing. I want the analyze thing myself. I miss being able to run things on pro96com like I can with my 600 plus I have an LTR system I'm dying to figure out.

What I can't understand and they've never answered is what good does carrying on about it non-stop do? Especially when its so obvious that nothing is going to be said until the company wishes to.

Oh well, good luck if you keep trying. I can tell you under the new conditions that have been set the OP of this continuation thread has made it impossible to argue the point and win. He's stacked the deck so he comes out on top. There is no way to win an argument when he uses the "They didn't hold a public press conference" criteria as the threshold to meet.

No matter how many times they said it wasn't coming out he has basically nullified it all with the press conference standards. Since they didn't do that nothing else matters according to him.
