Has any one found a good source for a low noise 5v linear power supply that can be used with the SDR-IP? The switching wall wart that it comes with it is ok at best, but i want something that has little to no hash. Other option would be a DC-DC converter used from my 12V bench supply, any one using this setup and to what results?

How much current do you need? If you only need 1 amp or less use a 5 volt regulator (LM7805) on you 12V supply.

Anticipating the new 5V RFSpace units will be replacing my 12V SDR-14s, I bit the bullet and bought an Acopian A5MT1200.

The first 5V unit I have here is the ultra stable NetSDR... which is spec'd at 1.5 A.... others to follow likely will be the same or only slightly higher (prelim spec for the SDR-x2 is 2.0A)

Obviously, it would be better to use K9WG's approach if possible. But my 12V supply was maxed out already, so.... :)
