As for the other talkgroups listed under the old system, I don't know about them.

Looks like there's a lot of confusion over these two systems. Those talkgroups which are for the old Type II system are not Type II talkgroups. They appear to be P25 talkgroups.

Somebody needs to run Unitrunker, Pro96Com or some other control channel decoder and see if these systems are really just one system with two sites overlaid on top of each other or two totally separate systems.

If the old system really has switched to P25, than any downloads will not work.

I will send you my Pro96Com and IDTracker logs later today. But I think you're right that the old system really is P25. I also believe they're two different systems, but how would I know? The WACNs and System IDs are definitely different.

Macon is not encrypted- not yet Hope thay dont encrypt
I can listen to the feed on RR but would like to get the scanner working again if posable.
I reprogramed the system by downloading direct from RR I can hear the fire dep. but still can not hear the macon/bibb PD

Please check out the other threads about Bibb Co/Macon. If you downloaded straight from radioreference then the frequencies may not be accurate. It appears the DB may not be up to date

Ok, things are all sorted out thanks to your Pro96Com files.

The old system has been deprecated and a new P25 City Services system has been added. The frequencies from the old system were reused for the new system. From the talkgroup list you logged, it appears that Macon PD is on this system as well as the Board of Ed PD. No encrypted talkgroups were logged and the system is TDMA capable. By the WACN, this appears to be a Motorola system.

The Central Georgia system has been updated as well. This is a TDMA capable system as well and no encrypted talkgroups were seen. The only talkgroups logged belonged to the Fire Department. I've deleted all the other talkgroups that were listed since they seem to belong to the City Services system. This appears to be a Harris system judging by the RFSS and Site numbers.

Both systems should now download fine to HomePatrol scanners. I don't know what time on Sundays that Uniden pulls the database from RR so it might take another week for the corrected systems to show up.

Please make sure you are submitting talkgroups under the correct system. A lot of talkgroups were duplicated between the two systems.

Thanks for sticking with this and helping us get it all straightened out finally. I have just a few last comments -

1) How can you tell they're TDMA capable systems? I was wondering myself - just curious what the trick is?

2) The City Services system should not be associated with Macon County as it is right now - only Bibb County. "Macon County" and the "City of Macon - within Bibb County", are two independent, unconnected places).

3) Even though it wasn't in the Pro96Com files, I can confirm the Water Authority and City Bus talkgroups were correct and should be listed under the City Services system. They were something like 531 and 607 if my notes are right .. not positive, but if you can go back and check the deprecated system (is there a way for regular users to do that?), those can be moved back.

4) Same with the Bibb Co. Sheriff's office talkgroup .. 200-something? I'm not sure what it is being used for since PD and SO combined, but I can confirm there was some sort of LE traffic on it a few weeks, so it might still be good to have around.

To tell whether its a TDMA system, look at the bandplan. You'll see an entry with 2 slots.

I've removed Macon County from the City Services system.

So the Water Authority, City Bus and Sheriffs talkgroups are on the City Services system?

Guys, instead of complaining in a thread that a DB Admin might or might not see, please use the submit function of the database.

If you're looking at the system, look for the Submit tab to the top. Your complaints will be addressed a lot sooner.

Ok. I checked the deprecated system but the TG's I was looking for were already removed. I also checked the wiki for the new system, but it only lists general changes (i.e. - "4 talkgroups removed"), rather than specifics (i.e. - "removed tgid 123 - Animal Contol").

Either way, from my notes:
531 - Water Authority
607 - Macon Transit Authority Busses

I don't know what the Sheriff's department was. 2xx something, but I didn't write it down. Oh well, someone else can discover and submit it.
