It has been reported that the frequency lineup on these sites has been changed, including control channels. If you live in one of these areas and/or monitor one of these sites, please check and confirm that one of the freqs for each site below is an active control channel. If it is, update your scanners and please report here or in a submission to the MARCS DB that the new control channels are in use.

1.37 Blue Creek OH (Adams Co)

3.71 Shawnee Fire Tower / Rome OH (Meigs Co)

All these sites have been confirmed to be using new control channels / new frequencies. It is likely that you are going to see any 700 mhz freqs removed from these sites in the DB in the future. For now I left them in there.

Not sure if this was a cut and paste or a typo … I believe the application shown as Sheffield / Mogadore should be Suffield / Mogadore

It was a cut and paste of a typo. The only thing anyone cares about are the frequencies. And the links to the license apps are correct. I can't go back and edit Sheffield to Suffield now so it'll just have to stay as it is.

New (pending) 700 mhz license for the new site in Lancaster (Fairfield Co)

Two licenses for Lancaster (380 Marty Drive) now. So either they decide to go with all 800 mhz, or they are really thinking they are going to need 10 freqs for Lancaster? That would seem odd to me.

I think 4 is too light though. They have 8 freqs on the Millersport tower now, and a lot of that Fairfield County traffic will be shifting to Lancaster when county units are central. To me somewhere in the middle would sound correct. Maybe they just use 800 at 6 frequencies.

We need some help in southern Ohio.

1. Site 3.79 Indian Camp -- DB lists 771.28125 and 771.58125 as the control channels
- somebody submitted that 771.58375 was the current active control channel (not in the DB)

If you can monitor Site 3.79 directly, can you confirm what the actual current active control channel freq is? If you can't monitor 3.79 directly but can monitor one of the sites below with DSDPlus, Unitrunker or SDRTrunk, please report what those applications list as the CC frequency for Site 3.79 (which would be a neighbor/peer to one of the sites below):

3.46 Carmel Church
3.57 Shade / Albany
3.58 Wilkesville
3.73 Allensville
3.74 McArthur / Zaleski
3.78 Jackson

2. A submitter reports 19026 being an active EMS channel down in Gallia County (heard off of Indian Camp tower). Can anyone confirm what EMS agency is using TG 19026 ?

Thanks

Mike

TG: 38983

"Life Flight 1" and "Life Flight 3" talking at different times. Likely because Life Flight 1 was in the vicinity of Canton Mercy hospital to pick up a patient. Also referenced "Clinic 1". So I don't know if this is a new Cleveland Clinic helo talkgroup, or who the actual agency was.

When you figure in that Lancaster has a plan for communications and how loosely communications has been done in the past, it will fill up. All city services will start rolling over at some point. Schools will probably have some use. Other county services. They don't pay gobs of money for frequencies they're not going to use. To this point, most communications needs have been kept off MARCS because they've had only the SCI tower.

The Jackson County RR page states that Wellston PD uses MARCs as primary communications so does anyone know what trunk site Wellston PD uses? I was thinking Indian Camp in Vinton County but I have it programmed into my scanner and have never once heard Wellston PD. I hear plenty of Jackson PD but I'd rather get Wellston. I'm not sure why they don't speak because Indian Camp seems to be the closest site to wellston aside from the Jackson site in Jackson County, and I also have that site in my scanner. Is it possible that they just aren't using MARCs?

I've heard that they used DMR in the past, perhaps they're still on DMR? My scanner doesn't support it so I couldn't confirm if they did.

But yes, I was the one who initially heard from TG 19026. I've heard talk from this TG twice. The first time, they mentioned an alarm going off somewhere, but I couldn't hear the location. The second time I heard them speak, I heard an EMS tone and a call to Thompson Rd, speaking about a vehicle crash, occupants going over 100mph and flipping their vehicle. So I do think this is from the Gallia area, but I'm still not sure what type of dispatch this is or if it's even EMS. Just putting this out there so if anyone is in the area, they can keep an eye out because as I said, I only heard this TG twice. Whatever it is, would be nice to get it listed on MARCS with the correct information.
