Ok time now 0733 and it seems it is running , not as busy as PG and still showing and listing to UMCP PD Dispatch also. ICC PD is also using the site.
Note that MTA and MDTA are two different agencies. I haven't noticed MTA talk groups in use outside of the urban jurisdictions, but if they have authority over the Park-and-Ride lots in rural areas, I would suppose that at least some of their units / talk groups are allowed on outlying sites.Anywhere in the State of MD the MTA PD has authority over each and every park N Ride lots so if something major happened at such a lot in western MD , then unless they let the local county SO handle it, a car would have to travel to that lot to investigate what happened.
A radio has to affiliate with the towers in the cell for it to be active. The system just came online for users last week. Many state agencies are not active on FiRST in the area yet so there will be less traffic. Once MSP, SHA shops, and other state agencies switchover it will become more active. It seems like the montgomery site is just standing still while the PG Site is very busy this morning. I wonder what is going on?????
Does anyone have any idea??
Doubt if you're gonna hear PGFD or PGPD on FIRST. Almost assured by folks I know who work for them. I know for sure - PGFD ain'tDoes anyone know if Montgomery and PG will have any TG's on the MD 1st system? or will they only use the statewide interops channels only?
LaPlata and Prince Frederick, respectively.Hearing activity on talk groups 7359 & 7360 on the PG site, more than likely Maryland State Police.
