I am ready to test it in Orange County NY ,, give me the link I will send the money. I have been looking for a fire dept solution for mobile units.
also do you think this could be added for the audio in a mobile unit ?
Thanks for your interest. The receiver will be available very soon. Looks like the WM8960 is for a RPi. The MicroP25RX is an original design with bare metal coding (Doesn't have the overhead of RPi/Linux). It has buffered 3.5mm audio jack audio output. By buffered, I mean it can drive ear-buds, head-phones, line-in on sound card, etc.

While @btt is working on the user manual, here are a few sample MicroP25RX Wio Terminal screen shots. More details will be in the user manual.

Nice work man! My local system is mix 700mhz/vhf and I just got word they are going upgrade the vhf sites to phase 2. My pro 106 is now obsolete and won't work on 700 mhz simulcast sites. The micro will be a nice replacement.

Looks great Todd. May have missed this, but will the unit be set up in the enclosure when you purchase it and the micro together? Also what's the enclosure going to sell for?

Yes, it will ship that way. It is very easy to install/remove from the enclosure. The enclosure will be $25. It is printed with a high-resolution SLA process and the material is LEDO 6060 (white).

Being not very familiar with printable plastics, any spraypaint recommendations, or just the standard Krylon for plastic? I only ask since I have had experiences in the past with melting plastics and also paint not adhering due to the type of plastic.

This worked good: "Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch Ultra Cover 2X 12 oz. Flat Black General Purpose Spray Paint". I'm also going to try using an alcohol-based permanent ink. The ink should dry faster. Might be less fumes. I'll post if the results are good for that as well.

Here is a before/after with the flat-black paint.

Looks great to me. Rustoleum is my preferred spraypaint brand, so its good to see that I wont need to go with a plastic-specific paint.
I know it has been said before, but the final product looks great. I'm sure it will look even better once i've got one in my possession...
i cant wait to see one in person!

I have a Wio terminal. Is there anything I would need to do with the terminal before attachment to the microP25? Thanks for a great work!

You would need to load the firmware on it. Then attach it to the 40-pin connector. You're done! Power is supplied to the Wio Display via the 40-pin connector.

As I'm writing the user manual, I realized the order of the edit menu should be changed. The second image shows the 'H', 'M', and 'S' indicators. These indicate TG HOLD, AUDIO MUTE, and SCANNING-is-enabled for this site. The yellow TG LED flashes while holding and the HOLDING ON TG xxx message is displayed when setting on the control channel.

Do you know what the heat distortion temperature is on this material? The original aftermarket battery door clips another member offered distorted when left in a vehicle where I live.

Good question. I don't have experience with this at all, but the fab house specs "heat deflection" temp at 58C (136 F) for LEDO 6060. It does seem like that could be an issue if left on the dash of a vehicle. I guess we are going to find out.

edit - Note that the enclosure has very heavy-duty walls and isn't really easily deflected from what I can see. It might not be an issue. I would have to defer to others that know more about this than me.

Thanks. I know leaving it in a vehicle isn’t optimal, but that sometimes happens and the temps in cars can reach 150 degrees locally.

My SDS100 with the aftermarket battery door clip was under the seat when it deformed.

Just something for people to keep in mind and watch out for I guess.

And I’m not trying to pop-poo on the product. I never even thought about the battery clip deforming until mine did. I’m still all in on purchasing when finally available.
