And I’m not trying to pop-poo on the product. I never even thought about the battery clip deforming until mine did. I’m still all in on purchasing when finally available.
I didn't think that. It is a good point. I'm glad you brought it up. If nothing else, it might help save some enclosures! I will do some potential destructive testing next summer (if I can survive that long financially. lol).

Regarding the enclosure material. I looked into another material PA12-HP Nylon. This very nice looking black material (natural gray, dyed black) and has a heat deflection temperature of 100C (212F). The price would be 3x the LEDO 6060 material. If there is enough interest in the more expensive enclosure ($75), I will take pre-orders for these. I need at least a few interested parties to make this possible.

Thanks for looking into this. For now I’ll pass and just be cognizant of the potential for distortion if I leave it in the car.

I’ll try to find what material @jonwienke used for his revised battery door clip and pass it along.

Thank you. No need. I will be making another order for enclosures shortly after the MicroP25RX becomes available. (assuming that there is interest). Based on the input so far, I am planning on adding in 5 extra "high temp" enclosures. No problem.

Exactly, I was thinking that having both options available would be the way to go. I feel like the ability to offer customization is one of the benefits of a smaller operation compared to the big names and is yet one more thing that sets this device apart.

This is the preliminary User Manual. Thanks to @goldmyne99 for giving it a quck look over and suggesting some improvements. Note this link may disappear in the near future.

The Wio Terminal Display source code for the MicroP25RX has been open-sourced and is available on github.

I will be working on getting the website ready to take orders very soon.

Todd,
I see FM as a Demod mode.. Can it do conventional as well as P25?

There are really only two types of P25 modulation for downlinks. Pi/4 differential quadrature phase shift keying (DQPSK). I'm calling it LSM (linear simulcast modulation) and FM. The FM demod is looking at relative phase changes between symbols (magnitude is constant). It is a very good FM/4-FSK demod and does not require any user adjustments whatsoever. This is the same FM demod used in the current P25RX and P25RX-II firmware. The MicroP25RX is trunk-tracking P25 only. Conventional P25 (voice only) channels are not currently supported.

I've been working on firmware since completing the user manual. I asked for another RR member to help with checking the device out in addition to goldmyne99 and myself. He found a few bugs and helped to get them fixed. Before I work on the web site and make the MicroP25RX available, I want to make sure that I don't cause unrealistic expectations. The MicroP25RX does not currently have configuration software that runs on a PC. You can configure things with the Wio display device as described in the user manual. You can also manually edit a text-based backup file and then do a restore. In order to use these functions, you must have a uSD card and a way to read/write to the uSD card on your PC. I have plans to eventually have PC-based configuration software. Although it isn't described in the user manual, USB networking is supported on Linux and there is Java-based monitoring software that allows audio playback and graphic display of I/Q plots etc. I have plans to eventually get this working on Windows and Mac, but it may take some time. The RF specs for the MicroP25RX are similar to the P25RX-II, but the sensitivity is better on the P25RX-II. For comparison, the P25RX-II is 0.35uV, and the MicroP25RX is 0.8uV. Here are some more detailed images. Note that the Wio Terminal is not included and must be purchased elsewhere. The enclosure is optional and will likely have two options for materials.
