Seen pulse jets on film during WW-2 aka the V-1 buzz bomb.. yikes!
It does look like a A-10 with pulse jet engine
Very OT, but
In a way, I' horrified, there has been a lot of talk about inexpensive drones and needing heavy ordinance.

and I started thinking about something that is really inexpensive but very effective, the V-1 came to mind, with a
slightly more effective guidance system, they could be very effective, like 5,000 could be made in a matter of months by just about any country (my opinion), then I thought about why should I give ideas like this to anyone and solve problems like this for them, apparently I didn't have to.
Others had already thought about it.
The simplicity of a pulse jet is the big deal,in
Bellowing up to 140 decibels, a valveless pulse jet drastically accelerates the speed of bikes, scooters, skateboards and more. Here's how to make one from scratch in about 8 hours.

gives a good idea of its simplicity.
researching further, it looks like the USAF is also interested in the idea.
Don't let the idea of small drones fool anyone though, when delivery of supplies in IRAQ was considered via unmanned helicopters , they initially wanted to use a small cheap helicopter (Robertson R-22?) for the purpose, then they figured out that a small cheap helicopter needed the same equipment as a heavy lift dedicated helicopter, so they went with that.
So I guess there's no holding back "progress"
It affects RR in that at some point we can also start 'listening' literally, to see what the power-plant is, and we need to know what were listening for (many of us can already identify aircraft by the sound).
Thanks
