Terry. Yea, I had that one as a NORAD freq.Ron
Only thing I could find on 278.000 is NORAD use in Alaska (as reported)....so perhaps
a common use between the PACK tankers and/or Vermont F35s

Nice catches..Checking my tape and did hear female MAPLE-11 flight with ZDC mention skipping the Whiskey area and Savannah destination1110- Unid female on 314.4. Maybe VT ANG? Chat about acft Gitmo 23 & 24. Also mention a Beaufort overpass on flt route. Chat about gas and possibility of using Beaufort or Shaw. Callsigns are Gitmo & Maple. Chat about going into XNO without using the tanker. KXNO is a USAF Auxiliary airfield in SC. One acft mentions can't get into XNO until 1300 so they will try to press on to Savannah.
Well obviously someone found a quiet one to chat on for sure. Now in the radios so will see if they show up again.Correction on post #924; 270.3 ZNY; playing the recordings back it was Maple 13 on 270.3/323.0.
I'm hearing 227.4, but very weak at the home qth.
Database shows 227.4: ZFW Ft Worth Sec89 High; Barksdale, La wx svc/air ops.
Really depends on the altitude....UHF does not go as far as VHF "normally"Just had activity on 227.400, see an earlier post about Vipers being on that freq before, anyone have anything definitive on who it might be? No ID heard, was A-A chit chat. Was picking it up readable on one scanner and down in the noise and unreadable on the other one. Unfortunately my non-computer controlled(for now) scanner is apparently more sensitive and selective than my newer computer controllable scanner even if on the same antenna. Curious how far away they might be.
Think the Trend Aviano F-16's used that 227.400 freq on way in a few weeks ago as posted by Terry.227.400 coming in about 3/3 but readable.....lots of chatting.
now fading out.....16:29 EST
I am thinking (reading my previous post that the TREND was on ,,,,,,,Think the Trend Aviano F-16's used that 227.400 freq on way in a few weeks ago as posted by Terry.

Just curious where you parked since I heard the local community is very concerned about people hanging around taking pictures near the airfield.Today I was able to get over to McGuire. While there I was able to get Hobey41 (15-46010) & Hobey42 (19-46063) returning from AR777. They were landing on Runway 06 and did a couple of touch'n go's before ending their flights.
I was also able to successfully program my BCD325P2 for the USAF (14C) trucked system and was able to listen to the system & ATC frequencies while I was there. Hopefully the next day there the weather will be nice

another hit on 246.125 which might be them....its them and they even mentioned their formation might look cool if someone was watching on their ADS-B !!

Besides the teenager at the local fastfood joint who said it is not a good idea (yeah a teenager not a old person) - the posts in this thread say about the same as the teenager told me.I would also like to know what location you used for this...
