Hearing choppers in distance and flight of 3 on HMX-1 143.825 FM guess
headed back to DC area.

I think some of the Red Flag participants are headed home today.
BOBBY-61,71 from Cal headed to Alaska FL-250 probably with the F-35's.
KANZA-71,72 coming East after picking up someone near New Mexico/AZ border. SJ-F-15E's?

Kind of waste of jet fuel and resources when a helo could done the mission more efficiently.

It's the Government and they have never tried to save any money.
Question is what are the mission requirements. Does the helo have the same communications package that the C32A has - especially since they seem to have added more equipment.

I'm hoping those Typhoons will be using Dover as a "rest stop" on the way home like they did last year.

1625L- A few quick chats on HMX-1 143.825, I see a few TIS-B circling over Staten Island, maybe practice for an upcoming trip.
You could be right, on Wednesday, February 7th, the President will travel to New York, New York. Meanwhile AF1 landed in Las Vegas and Exec1F 02-0203 is headed back to ADW out of Burbank.
