For about an hour beginning shortly before 4pm EST KILG was hosting VENUS61, C-40B/01-0015 from the 89th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Andrews, doing many touch and go's. It was a nice photo op, able to hit a few locations. Nice late afternoon light, as well.

Exec1F headed back east after FLOTUS visit to Wisconsin, 09-0015 just departed ADW possibly SAM46 today, awaiting AF1 departure from Pittsburgh, seems to be running ahead of schedule as he was headed to PIT at 6:03pm.



Next week POTUS heads west, from Tuesday, February 20th to Thursday, February 22nd, the President will travel to Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Los Altos Hills, California.

A buddy of mine just told me VFA-87 was headed north. Anyone catch them? So they might be the flyover guys. Would be a little odd to stage at PHL for this.....

1512 local PARTY-41 on ZDC 363.000 fl-20k 6 miles South of Dupont then few minutes later pushes over to Philly apch 319.150 at 1518 local dropping down. Like earlier no count offs of other aircraft.Both sounded like singles.
I was not in front of my radios both times today and didn't have 319.150 in my tape rotation to zero in more..
Used to hear that freq years ago with the Willow Grove A-10's etc and set up for Philly city flyovers

JAVA-96 C-17 #02-1111 62AW inbound East Coast from Hawaii calling Casino Royale on 252.100 aka Pittsburgh Ops.
Must be darn near empty coming non stop from Hawaii or tanked some fuel out that way.
Maybe snow in Pittsburgh causing divert?

I thought that Casino Royale was the CP at Westover. I've only heard Pitt Ops on 251.2.

Weak EAM coms from E-6B TIMON-91 on 311.000.. Guess they scrapped the old Tacamo 323.800 simulcast freq now inbound Pax river.

Funny just saw this old clip from 1983 movie of WW3. They used lots of Tacamo training films and old Nevada tests and liquid filled ICBM's.
Very interesting DOD training film clips..
Hollywood in 1983 hated Pres Ron Reagan so that is why they made this movie and silly Wargames just like the ones in 1964 Dr Strangelove and FailSafe movies cause of Barry Goldwater running for President. Very effective propaganda.
Have a strange feeling this is gonna start up again

CAP fighters A/A 260.900 seeing multiple balloons in the Dogfish space at around 17k-18k,reports there are lots of them.
"This is getting dangerous". "They need to find the source of these things" So far 2-3 small balloons spotted.

Some folks have inquired about the barn and silo in the picture I posted. The land our development is located on what was a working farm until about 1910. The stone barn and farmhouse (not visible in the photo) were built in the early 1800's. The barn was restored about the time our development was built and is used by a government contractor. The silo is not original but was added during the restoration. It was used for a microwave link. Visible just above the road are 2 concrete pads for satellite dishes that have since been removed.

I see the DEL CAP is active, anybody have the address for the feed? I have lost it somehow.

Seems there is a lot of C-17s doing VIP equipment movement today;

07-7188 & 02-1106 taking helos west for POTUS CA visit starting Tuesday, 98-0054 picking up a POTUS helo from Ohio visit yesterday, and 06-6161 & 06-6166 bringing back VP equipment from Germany.

SAM873 99-0003 being used by Sec'y of State on way back from Germany as well.

At 10:45am 98-0002 AF2 just departed Munich, 98-0001 Staff/Press should be following soon.
