I can also confirm NAC 870. DSD+ currently showing the following for this P25 Phase II site:

853.350 - control channel
852.100 - voice
852.7375 - voice
853.100 - voice?
851.5625 - cwid WQTZ378
It would appear they removed the frequencies they added to Site-1. Only control channel is 853.350, the rest are now voice frequencies. I'll make the update on my scanners, Site-3 only needs to be updated in the database.

My SDS100 picks up all TGs from Site 1 (citywide simulcast). I never hear anything scanning Sites 2 and 3. Maybe this is a noob question, but what purpose do Sites 2 and 3 serve?

I think the original intent was all of O'Hare was going to be using the city's 800 system, and it would be a stand-alone site for capacity. Site-2 at Midway carries all the talk groups, including snow removal, TMA's, etc. so it's needed there. Some talk groups affiliate with both sites at times, other times it's strictly on Site-2 at Midway. Majority of the time, O'Hare affiliates with both.

An update to my post re: Site 3 (O'Hare) from yesterday. The freqs that I marked as voice/voice? also had the "scc" designation next to them in DSD+. I believe that "scc" denotes secondary control channel. If that is the case, what is currently displayed in the database as far as the control channel and secondary control channels is correct (shown in red).

852.100 is showing as a control channel in the database. According to DSD+, it's no longer being used as a control channel.

851.5625 voice?
852.100 voice
852. 7375 voice
853.100 voice/control channel
853.350 control channel

According to the DSD+ findings, only one control channel, one secondary control channel, three/four voice channels at Site-3.

Here's what DSD+ is showing tonight. This does not include the 851.5625 freq I observed with the cwid the other day.IMG_20240222_230232221.jpg

On another note, the CFD OEMC Harris consoles had some issues yesterday connecting to the trunking system. No issues with the companies on the street or Midway and O'Hare and once they realized the problem, were using portables (911xxxx radio ID's). Didn't last long, someone kicked the modem and everything was working again in a few minutes (joking of course:LOL:). I later did see and hear a tone with a radio ID of 9119231 come up, and was probably them testing the link.

So they use Harris consoles but the radios in the field are Motorola’s. I was under the impression the entire system was supplied by Motorola. That’s interesting. So Harris equipment can be configured to work on some Motorola systems?

Yes they do. Midway Communications Center uses Harris, O'Hare Communications has 1 of 2 CPD Harris Consoles (the one with the louder and clearer audio) too. Midway has a back up tab if the link goes down which I don't believe the OEMC has? If you see RID's in the 911xxxx range, the Harris Consoles are not being used.

I was up there over the weekend and as listed, 853.350 was being used as the control channel. Had my SDS100 in Detail Display and confirmed 853.100 and 852.100 were being used as voice channels. I had previously been up there and had NAC 873 programmed and thought this system was very limited in range and never received a peep. Well, since I updated the NAC to 870, that resolved that problem.

So when they make these changes to the site does that mean all the field radios on that site has to be reprogrammed or does the current CC automatically transmit the new NAC tone?
