Has anyone figured out how to use this...

Added Amateur Radio settings to menus.

Use to set a default DMR network ID and site number for amateur radio DMR stations.

For some reason I am not getting it. I have looked for instruction.

Hm, pick a pseudo network ID for ham DMR traffic. Like 1, or 9999, or...

Pick a default site number for ham DMR traffic. Like 1?

Set the frequency ranges for the ham bands (around here, the main ones where you'd find DMR are what, 144-148 and 440-450?)

Monitor some hammy DMR traffic with TCP linked FMPx. NID and site # should get auto-set to what you chose above. Just tried it with some simplex calls and it worked. So now DSD+ will see a given DMR ID on any ham repeater (or simplex) as being the same guy, even if I don't have entries in the .frequencies or .siteLoader files to tell DSD+ that all those repeaters are part of the same "network".

Now I'm off to download the DMR IDs file from dsdplus.com and do a quick search/replace on the NID fields...

ok, you have to enter the frequency and fill in the rest of the field with "0" (zeros) until you see the "MHZ", then hit enter. I didn't havr to do that for the beginning frequency.

Ok, I'm running Airspy's, but how do you initiate the search?

ok, thanks, but I must be missing something. If you can enter a start frequency and a stop frequency, why would I need to "manualy" tune to a active repeater?
Heck, i can just tune to the low end of teh repeater frequency and then manually and click any active signal on the FMPx. I guess I must be missing something the purpose of the function in the "misc" menu for "amateur" what it really does. Thanks again for your help, you allways have a handle on these things

If you tune to some random DMR ham repeater, what network ID will DSD+ use?

How do you prevent all of those DMR IDs that the ham nets (DMR-MARC, etc.) use from colliding with radio IDs on conventional commercial DMR repeaters?

Thank you slicerwizard (as usual).

This is just an observation from my set-up. I followed what you said and of course it works (Thank you)

The observation is - I have a couple or 3 start bats for DSD+. The instance I used to set up the Amateur Radio feature is the only one that has the info "saved". I thought I lost it when I ran a different instance - that turned up empty of info.

All my DSD+ is in one directory.

I am not saying this is a flaw but it can get confusing if you run a different DSD+/FMPx instance and your info is missing.

Yeah, I've noticed that different instances (like CC, VC, 1R) each have their own sets of values saved in DSDPlus.bin. Makes sense for stuff like window positions and sizes, TCP ports, output devices, stuff like that. Not so much for things like Imperial/Metric...

I have just gotten and extracted ver. 242. Not seeing misc. options nor an updater. Ideas?

Ahh. In another thread here. Trying to hurdle past errors for missing files. I'm guessing that in the process of copying the fl files to the public release folder (as per directions) the DSDPlus file was left out. Now it's there......files errors. And who knows what after that's aced out.

Maybe there are some missing files you may have. What kind of errors are you getting?
