Ahh, ok. Likely they are using a simplex fireground channel. Can't help you there.

It sounds like they are doing something like New Britain does. New Britain dispatches a full assignment on the dispatch TG. The companies respond on the Incident TG. Then go to the low band fireground channel once on scene. Only New Britain simulcast the low band to their main system.

FYI, Low band is 30-50 MHz
NB uses 700 MHz fireground. Newington simplex, if used, could be UHF or 700/800. The issue could be their mutual aid access to the channels. I'm sure at some point they will be posted though.

They are keeping the 154.445 active for now so their Task Force partners can monitor them. I know, I call it low band when it really is not. I can actually hear New Britain on the 700 when they respond close to my area.

I am not seeing much CLMRN traffic for 19411/ Newington Fire Disp on the New Britain site for the past couple of days. The last operational calls were on the Troop H site on 12/14...

I am seeing ongoing traffic, on both sites, for:
19421 Newington PD Disp
19431 Newington EMS
19441 Newington DPW

Has Fire gone back to their old dispatch channel or am I missing something?

I hear them fine on 19411 on the New Britain site. They had no calls today so far, just the test a 6:00PM.

At the last Fire Board meeting it was said that the police are still having radios installed in their cars. The police switch over might be at the beginning of the new year. For the whole town to switch over it might be February or March. But the Fire Chief said that is just a guess at this time.

If you follow the old written CT Statewide radio numbering policy, 1, 2, 3 prefixes were portables and 4,5,6 were mobiles. Some towns follow that, for example Middletown, but much of CLMRN uses the reverse. I don't know if that was changed via document or just by programming practice.
