Is the easiest way to hear Newington on CLMRN to manually enter a new system in Sentinal with just the Hartford site frequencies for CLMRN and the talkgroup IDs for Newington ? What confuses me is how to listen to Newington and not hear other traffic on the Hartford CLMRN site.
I thought I had a good handle on using Sentinal, but I feel like I'm missing something here. thx

what I did was I copied and paste New Britain took out the talk groups and put the new talk group in. I set up their own site using New Britain and Hartford frequencies not putting search on leaving it scan. It's working great for me. Also fire department is still using the fire dispatch channel on the LTR system. There's a call going on right now but I'm not giving the street or the type of call

I would use the Troop H site has it has a bigger coverage area (see below) ... but thats just me. Then add the Talkgroups and ID SCAN not ID SEARCH to listen for Newington or any other specific town on the CLMRN system. I also program things differently from most as i put all of the sites frequencies into one site and scan that way. I can hear 90% of the CSP TGs from my house. I use proscan if anyone else uses it i can share the file.

I am hearing the police again on the LTR system. They went off it for a while. But it won't be long before they are off it for good. I downloaded Newington from Sentinel using the New Britain site because that is where I am near. I'm not sure what site is their main site. It was going to be New Britian's site but that could have changed to the Hartford Simulcast site. I know not all of New Britain's transmissions come over the Hartford Simulcast site so it might make a difference with Newington.

avon site come in good a lot
Are you referring to the Troop H Simulcast? You cannot pick what site to monitor among the simulcast cell.

Newington PD are using CLMRN. If they are heard on the old system, it is because they are patched from CLMRN. Over 50 radios seen in the last 24 hours. Every transmission has a CLMRN RID and alias with it. The only thing not from the new system is a beep after one of the dispatch radios. They can be heard on H Simulcast, New Britain Simulcast, and Hartford standalone sites

New Britain IS CLMRN Site 1.1, so it is part of CLMRN, as opposed to say, Middletown which is linked by ISSI but is not part of CLMRN.

If I was trying to monitor Newington, I would primarily use Troop H Simulcast, then New Britain Simulcast, then Hartford Standalone. Since affiliations are used for turning on where a group is carried, not all groups will be seen on all 3 of the local sites all the time.
