With such a tight grip and their TV stations more then likely still analog, how does the Koreans deal with ducting? I'm curious If they ever seen TV from Seoul or any near by countries during the right conditions? Also, do we know how much power their TV stations send out? Probably lots and lots

Does the average "Joe" have a TV at home in DPRK? I bet getting caught DXing would land you in a concentration camp.

They probably do it similar to how they used to in Cuba, very strong stations where authorized and transmitters on standby on the foreign channels that they can turn on when the skip rolls in to jam the foreign signals, err enhance signal coverage of the local stations by adding extra channel coverage (after all, they would never actually do any jamming since that would be wrong!).

According to North Korean officials, there are no other TV stations and only North Korea has access to advanced technology known as television broadcasting. So I suppose there is nothing for their citizens to worry about :)

Let's not forget continuing TV coverage of Great Leader's perfect golf score of 18 on an 18 hole course.

Looking at the YouTube videos of people fixing the soles of their shoes with truck tire tread, I don't think it's much of an issue. :^( (Unless, of course you're a member of the 'party' and probably watch HBO anytime you want.)

In Cuba they have most of the channels we have in Canada and America.. Cuba is not nearly as far behind as Americans are lead to believe ... they have lots of tourists from Canada and Europe... North Korea.. not so much.. NK is truly in the stone ages.
