Range of the signal is what this refers to I believe unless you just want to set up the ten mile area circle thingy like the AWIN map has.... General range of the signal is around 30 miles at 100/110 watts. So if you have all the sites within 20 miles of each other you get full overlapping coverage, maybe a few weak areas... But thats expected with ANY system... Anyone that claims to have 99% or 100% everywhere is lying. There are variances in signal due to terrain, weather, and yes, pine trees LOL. But in general at say 100 foot, with 100 watts, on 700/800 MHz you should get excellent signal at out to 30 miles, with at least a bit of signal at up to 50 miles. Now here is the rub, with digital, you have to have an great signal or you wont get out on voice, thus the need for iether more power, or shorter ranges. Hence the under 30 distance between towers and the massive overlap. In real bad terrain you need both
