Rankin TGIDs so far on MSWIN

Here is what I found so far:
46636 - School Buses
46639 - School Buses
46671 - Flowood FD
46705 - Pelahatchie (maybe)
46718 - Flowood PD
46748 - Richland PD
46754 - Richland FD
46768 - Brandon PD
46820 - Common Law
46823 - Rankin SO

I have only heard Flowood on the Jackson tower (no Rankin County Simulcast).

Unless they moved to the MSWIN, they were still on the old analog TRS.

I have a gre 800 and a hp436. I'm not picking up Brandon pd or rankin SO. Have the control channels changed? Anyone else having this problem? I talked to a patrolman today. He said they did Change. Is there anything I can do to help and get the scanners back up? I listen most of the day. I have pc's I can log with. I'm not sure how the powers that fix this stuff. But I'm interested.

What control channel are you using for tunica county?

I have all 6 frequencies listed for the primary site programmed into my Pro 163.

Rankin County Update--looks like the "old" system is out of service and they are MSWIN now. They don't even page out the FD's on highband like they used to. I do get some traffic on my 911 scanner app so whoever is responsible thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Correct. Rankin converted the old system fully to an MSWIN simulcast site.

I am a little confused about what tower to select for Rankin county. Do i select the Florence tower or the old Motorola site? I can't find that they changed the Site Frequencies to 700 from 800 at the old site. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time

The Rankin County Simulcast as it is listed in the DB under the MSWIN listing. It is 800 MHz. They just upgraded it to P25, and converted the system over to the MSWIN Control System. As far as updates we have received, it is using FDMA (P25 Phase 1) for the TG's currently. We don't have all the TG's in use by Rankin submitted as of yet, as they are still being discovered.

Ok so after going down to the fire department today to actually have a look at the new mobile radios they installed. Rankin EOC came and installed XTL2500 and XTL1500 radios which all of us know are not TDMA capable.... Which leads me to believe that Rankin probably does not have TDMA plans for 10-20 years...

Not for Fire anyway. I believe RCSO, and most of the LEA's have APX 6000 or 7000 series. RCEOC has an agreement with MWCC to use FDMA capabilitiy until at least 2020, after which they hope to have upgraded equipment to TDMA capable radios. MWCC would like every new user to be TDMA capable, but can be understanding it seems of financial difficulties. One would think that with all the real money of CenMS pretty much being Rankin County (All the Jackson Money People live in Rankin as close to the "Res" as possible LOL), that the County would be able to pull some kind of referendum and get funding. But so is life. (Made a couple of calls to friends who are still able to talk about things without being scared of losing jobs as long as certain specifics are omitted ...)

46663 I know its Rankin County but it sounds like some car to car dont know who yet, 15 hits in 5 mins

Are you making regular commutes up from Slidell, or have you moved up to CenMS from SELA?
